Project history

January 2018 – June 2018 Project Manager / Expert. Merger of Asset Management companies. Management of the project and reporting to CEO. Project goal was to migrate assets from acquired Asset Manager legacy system into Murex and build TO-BE processes with: Depositary Banks and Transfer Agent. Project delivered in time & budget.
February 2016 – December 2017 Project Manager / BO expert. Implementation of Murex as an Asset Management System. Management of the biggest project in history of PKO TFI (biggest Asset Manager in Poland) and reporting to Management Board. Involvement included each of project stages: vendor selection, contract negotiation, business requirements gathering, design, build, test, implement, migrate, stabilize. System covered following modules: order management, transaction processing front to back, settlements including SWIFT messages matching, payments, collateral, risk, compliance. Project delivered in time & budget.
Since November 2005 till November 2015 working as an Accenture professional consultant – participating and delivering multiple projects for various clients. Details below. Reached level: Manager.
February 2015 – February 2016 Interim manager of the treasury IT team of the biggest polish bank. Management of the IT team (18+ professionals and 6+ projects), reporting to IT head, coordinating initiatives with Business. Systems under supervision and development: Murex; Kondor+; KGR; FlexCube; Calypso; Gate. Supervision over undergoing projects: Loro functionality implementation; Kondor+ upgrade; Gate new functionalities development; Murex implementation; EMIR implementation (reporting and clearing); TRIOPTIMA; introduction of new brokerage platforms (JPMorgan; EMBONDS), market conformity.
December 2013 – December 2014 FO manager. Treasury system implementation on multiple markets. Implementation of Murex FO (MX3) platform across nine countries for FX, MM and FI products. Actively involved in all project phases (requirements analysis, gap specification, design, build, test, implementation, post implementation support) and following processes: Liquidity management, FX position management, FI (including brokerage), sales, and processes. My role: leading FO core set-up stream, supporting reporting and integration and migration streams. Coordinating activities with Back-Office, Subledger, Risk, organization, PMO and nine local teams. Direct overview over a team of 5, indirect overview over a work of dozens. Project delivered in time and budget.
October 2013 - November 2013 Expert. Energy wholesale trading potential unlock. Analysis of as-is and preparation of roadmap for future initiatives for biggest polish energy wholesale company (including production and distribution). Expert advice on recognition of current treasury / wholesale processes in contacts of CTRM system implementation.
March 2013 - July 2013 Accounting expert. Merger of two Polish Banks. Mobilisation and analysis phases of retail division merger project. Direct responsibility for accounting area (both managerial & statutory), validation of solution for cards migration.
August 2012 - March 2013 Manager of Loans, Cards, Accounting streams. Merger of two Polish Banks. Mobilization, analysis and design phase of retail division merger. Direct responsibility for driving and overview following streams: Loans (both secured & unsecured), Cards (processes related to acquiring & issuing), Accounting (including merger reconciliation concept creation and validation) My role: lead team, support business requirements analysis, prepare functional requirements, gap assessment between functional requirements and current architecture landscape, management of streams and communication and dependencies between streams.
May 2012 – August 2013 FO project lead. Treasury operations replatforming. Curving out and moving Bank’s treasury operations into new, common for whole banking group platform (Murex as FO system) due to bank acquisition. My role: leading a team supporting Front-Office during following activities: Analysis and closure of configuration gaps between current and target (Murex) system functionality (all asset classes), Identification and mitigation of key risks; expert support in Back-Office area.
March 2011 – May 2012 Expert. Core banking system implementation for leading Lithuanian Bank. Role included: Establishment of project scope for corporate and treasury instruments release, Evaluation of on-going Management Information System reimplementation project. Preparation of project reorganization suggestions and target work and solution model. Reporting, discussion and validation of proposition with CFO and CIO. Solving key issues in short term.
January 2010 – March 2011 Project Manager for Poland and Hungary. Implementation of global CRM solution for one of major Pharmaceutical Companies. Leading a team providing support to local companies (Poland and Hungary) during transition into new CRM solution. Coordination of a team of Accenture consultants, client resources, Accenture Delivery Centers in Spain and India and supporting client IT organization. Being responsible for following areas: processes analysis and redesign, data cleansing and migration, users training, change management. Both implementations finished successfully and were ranked as one of smoothies during whole implementation program
November 2009 – January 2010 Team Lead. Merger of two leading Consumer Finance institutions. Leading a team being responsible for: Analysis and documentation of AS-IS processes in area of: after-sales service, back office and collection. Quantification and analysis of processes efficiency. Identification of opportunities for short, mid and long term improvements. Design of target high level processes for areas of interest.
March 2009 – November 2009 Expert. Implementation of Management Information System. Biggest Bank in Poland. My role: Analysis and documentation of data flow between Accounting and Managerial Reporting Department. Redesign of data cleaning and adjustment process. Redesign of data flow process – target was to have common data source for statutory and managerial reporting. Enhancement of book close process
November 2008 – March 2009 Post Merger Integration support in Treasury area.
  • Creation and implementation of financial model for Indexed Bonds – supervising and advising to team of programmers who were in charge to create dedicated tool.
  • Creation and implementation of solution for Credit Default Swap booking, processing and accounting – business analyst, solution architect, configurator and tester.
August 2007 – November 2008 Merger of two leading Polish Banks – Treasury area, Murex BO as target system Expert role which include end to end provision of the solution, in particular:
  • Analysis and documentation of products and processes, identification of differences between organizations (Business Requirements Analyst).
  • Preparation and implementation of procedures enabling take over and following service of migrated clients and products (Business Analyst, Solution Architect).
  • Support during conversion weekend (Business Support).
  • Post-merger reconciliation and support.
August 2006 – November 2007 Murex Back Office system implementation for biggest Polish Bank’s Treasury division. Expert role which include end to end provision of the solution, in particular:
  • Analysis of Bank’s Treasury legacy system (Business Analyst).
  • Design, description and validation of accounting rules for events occurring on traded financial instruments (Business Analyst; Configurator).
  • Design, description and validation of accounting rules for migration of all traded financial instruments (Business Analyst; Configurator).
  • Workarounds design and implementation for event’s not serviced by new system (Business Analyst; Configurator).
  • Support in transition of new accounting setup into production environment which happened during single migration weekend, following with End of Day procedure during which Bank’s position was recalculated into new system (Business Support).
March 2006 – August 2006 Business Continuity Planning design and implementation for leading Polish Bank. This role required
  • Analysis of Bank’s vital processes.
  • Creation of procedures in case of emergency situation.
  • Design and implementation of structure in charge of emergency situation procedures.
  • Implementation of emergency solution, including people training, BCP procedures awareness creation as well as necessary tools duplication.
November 2005 – March 2006 Murex Limit Controller system fine-tuning for Treasury division of one of biggest banks in Poland. Expert role which include providing solution for issues not solved during tool implementation. This required:
  • Deep understanding of limit controlling tool.
  • Bank requirement’s and processes.
