Project: Transformation of Spare Parts Supply Chain Client: Bajaj Auto a Leading 2&3 wheeler Manufacturer

Project Specific Key Activities
  • Lead a team of 6-8 consultants of diversified skill sets and experience
  • Understand characteristics of Part based on 2-D classification (ABC, FMS Analyses) & dimensions
  • Identify suitable storage & automation systems, considering throughput, space, future growth & peaks
  • Formulate product placement and storage strategy considering product category and storage systems
  • Suggest DOCs based on the product category, average throughput and Evaluate the life of Warehouse
  • Develop methods to identify root causes for lower fill rates and address them for better serviceability
  • Implement Batch, Cluster and Order Picking Strategies based on Product Category & Order Quantity

  • Devise order based & automatic fixed bin replenishment strategies along with negative available stock
  • Implement Automation systems like – SBL, PTL, High Speed Sorting conveyor systems
  • Enable the re-engineered processes and automation systems through SAP EWM and Bastian WCS systems
  • Design interfaces between EWM-WCS systems through SAP – PI required to meet business requirements
  • Use standard SAP EWM functionalities to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership of the solution
