Project Description
This UK based client is World's largest publicly traded tobacco company which has market-leading position
in over 50 countries and operations in around 180 countries. As part of TAO program, which implemented
SAP across all markets, client has a Quality Assurance team whose task is to make sure that all the SAP
related objects like Functional and Technical specification documents, SAP configurations, ABAP code
changes, FUT, UAT, Regression testing, etc meet the quality standards recommended by SAP and TAO
guidelines.

From Infosys side, this engagement is about providing the SAP Functional and Technical Consulting
expertise across all SAP modules as part of QA team and ensuring the Quality Assurance checks are
stringently applied on the above mentioned objects.

Contribution & Responsibilities:

* I was involved in RFP for this new account, worked on solution designing and effort estimation for the
RFP response

* Worked as Offshore Manager and Delivery Anchor for this account ensuring that Project is smoothly
delivered from offshore without any issue

* Attended 4 week KT sessions at Client Headquarter in London to understand the Business processes
and Quality Assurance requirement for QA team and gave reverse KT to client.

* Built a team of 10+ consultants from different SAP modules, spread across various locations in India,
trained & educated them and motivated them to deliver QA objects as per client expectation.

* Stabilized BAT QA Project Delivery within a short period of 3 months by establishing a robust structure
and process for managing QA Project delivery effectively and efficiently.

* Effectively managed client escalations occurred during first 3 months of engagements

* Created SOP document covering the QA Delivery Process Model, Updated checklist documents for all
QA objects, Peer Review process, Defect creation and Script execution process in HPQC and all other
important aspects of QA Project delivery

* Created and Monitored several immensely useful documents for effectively monitoring the status of
all QA objects and ensuring the deliverables are on time and of highest quality which is very much
appreciated by client

Project Name: SAP AFS Rollout across Europe, Middle East, North Africa and UAE

Project Description

 

As part of OneERP Project umbrella, several implementation & rollout projects were initiated with the objective of replacing legacy ERP system by SAP AFS and bringing several markets across Europe, Middle East, North Africa and UAE in the Global SAP AFS client.

 

From Infosys side, this engagement was about providing SAP Functional and Technical consulting for Business Assessment, Blueprinting, SAP Configuration and Development, Enhancements, Integration with external systems (Ex: WMS, eCatalog, Retail, Tibco etc), Data Migration, Testing (FUT, UAT, Integration) along with Maintenance & Production support for the SAP AFS ECC 6.0 system.

 

Contribution & Responsibilities:

• Worked as SD Team Lead from Onsite in Germany taking responsibility and ownership of all the deliverables under SD stream

• Participated in Business Assessment workshops held in Dubai, Istanbul and Germany with key business users, IT Governance team and other stakeholders for showcasing SAP system demo, for understanding Business processes & Local Legal requirements, for performing Fit – Gap Analysis and proposing & finalizing the suitable solutions.

• Prepared Demo-system with basic customizing and essential master data to provide demonstration on key core process about to-be system to all the stakeholders.

• Trained the offshore SD resources on client system landscapes, processes, external systems and other interfaces as they were all new to the account

• Defined individual Project Tasks and provided estimate of Work in terms of time and resources required for each task.

• Responsible for complete configurations for all SD relevant objects like Order Acquisition, Order processing, Order to Cash cycle, Logistic execution, ATP, Allocation Run, Credit management, Pricing, Text & Output layouts, Listing & Exclusion, Rebate Agreements etc.

• Implemented around 120 interfaces from SD side for integrating SAP AFS system with external systems like WMS, Retail, RBO, eCatalog, CRM, RetailPro etc and performed extensive end to end Integration testing for all of them

• For all the interfaces, prepared mapping specification for middleware TIBCO/ XI / Informatica and external systems, maintained required configuration in AFS, followed by Unit testing, System Integration testing and support UAT.

• Submitted several Functional change RFCs, created detailed Conceptual Design and change document and performed extensive Unit Testing for around 50 different types of SD processes in all the markets

• Participated in several Data migration workshops for aligning approach and scope for migration objects (Sales Orders, Prices and Customer master data), enhanced the existing migration tools and helped business in data cleanup activities to ensure good data quality from legacy system.

• Created several Unit and Integration test scripts covering all the SD processes and interfaces, uploaded them in HP Quality Center tool for Test progress and Test Issue tracking and worked on Issue resolution

• Developed several print layouts for all markets for Order confirmation, Customer Invoice and Commercial Invoice after thoroughly discussing all the business and legal requirements with business and working and testing closely with ABAP team and business users.

• Automated almost all the SD business processes in AFS with hundreds of Batch jobs using Automic Batch Management tool after thoroughly discussing the business requirement regarding the process automation workflow with business

• After successful go-live, supported business in ramp-up to full scale operation, provided sustain phase support on post go-live issues for 2 month

• Created Handover document covering all the process, interfaces batch automation details and handed over to 2^nd Level Global Support team for supporting SAP AFS Live MENA markets after 2 month hyper care support.
