Project Details: Applied Global Services (AGS) business group develops several tools and software's for the AMAT




field engineers for their business requirements. The enterprise datawarehouse is maintained in SAP BW. AGS
migrates the SAP BW data to MSBI environment, develops data models and does business analytics to provide
business critical metrics for the end users to make right decisions. End users gets various reporting interfaces and
adhoc tools for analysis like SSRS, PowerBI, Report Builder and Tableau.

ISV Tech Event:

Technical Advisory Services team provides the consultative assistance by

utilizing the Microsoft Partner's Advisory Support services that is available

through Microsoft Partner Program.

One of the big challenges in the TAS team is to drive consistent case volume,

Partner reach and Advisory Services utilization from the partners.

ISV Tech Event is introduced to enhance the Microsoft Partners consultative

support experience and to provide maximum consultative benefits with lesser

amount of Partner's Advisory Services benefits. This TAS benefit is available

as a part of their Partner Program membership with Microsoft.


ISV Tech Event is lunched as an online live presentation on a specific

Microsoft technology designed for a specific group within our Partner's

Company (like Developer, Project Leader, Project Manager etc.). This event is

delivered monthly for those Partners who have registered for the event. Since

all the interested Partners join on a single event, the presenter would be

spending lesser time for preparation and research. This results in charging

less hours of Advisory time from the partner's contract. By providing single

technical event for multiple Partner companies, it also successfully increased

the Partner reach, case volume, utilization and the scoping accuracy.

recommendations to successfully implement SSIS (ETL), Cube (Dimension Model) and Reporting

solutions

- Preparing POC, unique contents and delivering workshops on the latest/beta products of Microsoft

technologies

- Conducting technical events to evangelize the BI capabilities, Microsoft products and services

- Reviewing and writing T-SQL code snippets

- Provide migration and upgrade assistance to Microsoft Partners and share best practice

recommendations

- Collaborate with the product teams to assist our Partners on Multiple technologies

- Working as a Trusted Advisor for Microsoft Partners to provide consultative project assistance

- Provide predictable, repeatable results by leveraging standard processes defined for Technical

Advisory Services (TAS).

- Drive broad reach of TAS by delivering against SQL Server, Business Intelligence area through

reactive advisory requests, 1:1 workshops, Guidance Documents, 1: Many consultative

workshops, delivery of practice days and partner days.

- Contribute and help evangelization of Microsoft Technical Advisory Services to drive reach and

consumption of Consulting hours.

- Define Service Delivery Plan for Microsoft Managed partners

- Partner with Sales Marketing Groups, Technical Account Managers to review the Service Delivery

Plan for managed partners; utilize Team or Ops Manager as needed.




- Identify and help scoping the TAS Sales requests by following the processes defined in the

respective region.




* Customer & Partner Satisfaction:

- Communicate engagement objectives and plan with the partner to meet or exceed delivery

objectives to attain partner satisfaction

- Define action and mitigation plan for risk engagements on technical issues.

- Act as a Partner Advocate to detect possible partner dissatisfaction points and leverage resources

to mitigate the risk

- Define Service Delivery Plan and Conditions of Satisfaction with all managed partners as per the

agreed SLA.

- Support team collaboration, share and reuse best practice recommendations.



* Drive Market Share:


- Recommend 1:1 advisory engagements/best practices and other delivery opportunities that help

the design, adopt or deployment of Microsoft solutions.

- Have deep understanding of partners and their needs.

- Drive Market Share specific to latest Microsoft Technologies like SQL Server, Windows , Office 14

through advisory engagements and TAS Consultative Workshops.

- Utilize Common Content Library as a primary source of content for partner deliveries. Contribute

to technical content in the form of POC's and Brown Bag sessions.

- Provide high level Application design/Architecture guidance and sharing best practice

recommendations to successfully implement the BI solution




- Preparing POC, unique contents and delivering workshops on the latest/beta products of Microsoft

technologies


- Conducting technical events to evangelize the BI capabilities, Microsoft products and services


- Reviewing and writing code snippets


- Assisting the partner for the new platform adoption by providing best practice

recommendations during the migration and upgrade activity
