Markus has spent over 23 years working in the SAP world for consultancies, end users and as freelancer. He has successfully implemented multiple full life cycles of complex international largescale SAP rollout and business transformation projects (including S/4 HANA) in leading technical roles as SAP Sales, CRM, Logistics and ABAP solution architect as well as in leadership capacities as Project-, Program- and SAP Centre of Excellence Manager.

Strategical SAP Business process and System Standardisation project including Master Data standardisations via SAP MDG (SAP Magellan project)

Role 
My role included the review and analysis of SAP MDG system, process and interface issues around SAP Business Partner Management with view to stabilize and improve the system and MDM process setup. (including integration with SAP backend and improvement of SAP Customer Vendor Integration (SAP CVI) processes

Accomplishments:  

  • Incident, Change and Problem Management of SAP MDG Business Partner Master Data Management processes and SAP class and characteristics maintenance
  • Multiple successful improvements and root cause resolutions of highly complex technical process issues covering MDM process, SAP MDG, Web Dynpro applications, SAP Workflow, BRF+. SAP ECC, SAP CVI and more. When I finished my contract the newly incoming Incidents level was to close to zero, all CRs with big and reasonable benefit were implemented. Only very few "nice to have" improvement CRs left.

migration. I was also responsible for the design of the Master Data Governance workflows and the project management of the Master Data management project.

The Berner Group is an international, family-run, successful and high-performing trading company with more than 8.200 employees across 46 companies in 23 countries. The Berner Group and its five brands (Caramba, BTI, Berner, Ambratec and Kent) offer products and solutions for professional customers.  Tools and equipment for craftsmen and garages, materials and fire protection for construction projects and even specialist chemicals for industrial systems, carwashes and cleaning services to name a few.
The “Berner CCA (Customer Centric Architecture)” project is by far the largest transformation program the Berner Group has ever carried out. It is a business and digital transformation initiative in which the S/4 HANA Digital Core Greenfield implementation project plays the key role. Amongst other components the program also includes an SAP C/4 HANA Sales cloud implementation and SAP Ariba. In short words a large business transformation project with massive organizational, change management
and technical challenges. SAP S/4 HANA replaces the SAP ECC system that is heavily customized and adapted by Berner customer own developments. (It says “SAP” “on the tin” – but it is not “SAP” what is inside!) SAP Standard Processes are significantly adapted so they fit requirements of satellite systems using the data. SAP S/4 Modules implemented are FI/CO, SD, MM, SAP C/4 HANA, BW, SAP Gateway, Fiori, Solution manager 7.2. The combination of the different applications and the integration of all the data made the data migration part highly complex.

Project: Logistic process Review and improvement (including Interfaces to the WAMAS Warehouse Management System – managed via SAP AIF)

Accomplishments: Markus acted as Logistics business process analyst, Solution architect (MM, EWM, SAP AIF) and Project manager.
  • Carried out root cause analysis of errors and designed process corrections in MM, SD, LE, EWM and SAP AIF, EDI/ALE/IDoc area

Summary of my "Haribo ONE" project roles and acvities: 
SAP S/4 HANA GREENFIELD IMPLEMENTATION (“HARIBO ONE” PROJECT) • 03.2018 - 05.2019 • HARIBO GMBH & CO KG, BONN, GERMANY
Haribo is a consumer goods producer with 7.000 employees worldwide and produces around 100 million gummy bears daily across 16 factories in 10 countries.
The “Haribo ONE” project was the largest S/4 HANA Greenfield implementation in Germany 2018 and by far the largest “IT” project in the history of Haribo armed with more than 260 project team members across multiple streams and a budget of more than €100 Mio. The project also included the implementation of one of the most modern distribution centers world-wide in Grafschaft using SSI Schaefer logistics and conveyor technologies and their WAMAS WMS software. In summary a huge
business transformation project with immense organizational and transformation challenges.
SAP S/4 HANA replaced the Steeb SC/400 and different local software systems used in the manufacturing locations. SAP S/4 Modules implemented were FI/CO, PP, APO, SD, MM, EWM, SAP CRM, GTS, BW, SAP AIF, SAP Gateway, Fiori, Solution manager 7.2. The combination of the different applications and the integration of all the data made the data migration part highly complex.

Project: SAP S/4 HANA Greenfield implementation (Techedge GmbH / Haribo ONE)
Haribo One was the largest new implementation of SAP S/4 HANA in Germany in 2018 (including S/4 Core, CRM, APO, EWM, BW, Fiori)

Accomplishments: My Role started off as SAP S/4 HANA Data Migration Specialist for objects in the MTS (Make to stock), P2P (Purchase to Pay), LOG (Logistics MM, EWM) and OTC (Order to Cash) area. Over the course of the project I also got involved in SD/MM process configuration areas and supported consultants and business power users with configurations, solution advise and trainings in SD/MM.
Role included SAP technical hands on tasks in SAP MM/SD configuration, ABAP developments, LSWM and SAP query and management tasks like Project-,
Cutover- and Test Management.
  • Successfully migrated all OTC (SD, MDM), MTS (PP) and Logistic master and operational data within in required deadlines. Objects included Material master, Business partners, Stock loads, Price loads, Bill-of materials (BOMs), Work centres, Routings, Product Versions, Open sales and purchase orders and more.
  • Provided Technical and functional support to business power users, process owners and SAP Competence Centre Team members
