Description: Generic and Flexible Enterprise Application Interface and integration solution designed to meet HSBC group needs based on WebSphere Message broker. Responsibilities :
• Design, Develop and implement Integration solutions based on IBM WebSphere Message Broker formerly Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), now also called as IBM Integration Bus.
• Integration of various disparate systems such as Legacy Mainframe Systems, Third-party web services, Messaging queues and File interface systems.
• Devise solutions of Integration patterns such as Online Request Response scenarios (MQ flows), Datagram flows, Legacy Mainframes to Third party Web services, Transmission of files between various interfaces and systems.
• Gathering Requirement, Technical Documentation, design documentation, Test Plans, Test cases and Data flow Visio diagrams.Planning tests, documenting test cases, executing test cases and reporting the test results.
• ESQL/Java coding and Deployment of solutions into Production and Non-Production environments.
• Data mapping and Data transformation using IBM WTX. Development of Maps on WTX for transformation of messages from one format to another (For instance, Cobol to XML ).
• Development and Application Support of an Integration solution designed based on SOA principles built entirely on COBOL/CICS and DB2.

Based on Mainframe DB2 it establishes identity and work authorization of an associate working for the retailer. It stores the identity and work permit details of an associate in Mainframe DB2 database, integrated with web application which sends the information to federal government to verify the details and receives a response. It is a time critical application as associate identity/verification needs to be completed within 3 days of hire. All issues/incidents are of high priority and have very high SLA’s to meet.
