Summary
Marco Skulschus studied economics in Wuppertal, Germany und Paris, France and works since 2002 as trainer and lecturer, since 2006 as Business Intelligence / Data Mining consultant, and since 2008 also as technical project manager for business analytics, Data Mining, and production/process data.
He is author of more than a dozen books covering topics like software development (Java, PHP) and database development (Oracle, MS SQL Server) as well as XML technologies (XML Schema, XSLT, and XSL-FO) as well as empirical social research and data analysis. Currently, 15 books plus nearly 20 quick references are in print. He sold over 100.000 copies until today.
He works as a trainer and lecturer on topics like databases, Business Intelligence / Data Mining using R, IBM SPSS, Minitab, MS SQL Server or Oracle, and XML technologies. The trainings take place mainly in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland but a short list of topics can also be booked in English language in other European countries.
Skills
Activities
In the roles of consultant and technical project manager he conceives and builds either Business Intelligence / OLAP systems for server-based data analysis, single statistical analyses and Data Mining models or XML-based reporting solutions either for data integration or single source publishing in mass document generation.
The projects are carried out for clients in Europe (mainly in the German-speaking world and neighboring countries).
Since 2008, he works as a consultant and technical project manager in various sometimes also internationally organized projects. He supports companies and organizations building Business Intelligence systems for business analysis (sales, marketing or market research, and production) or other database-/XML-related systems, and reporting solutions.
