Skills

Here\'s a review of my knoledge

  • WEB DEVELOPMENT (SERVER): I stared Web development using ASP. Over the years learned and used ASP.net/C#, PHP and NodeJS to create web pages and web applications.
  • WEB DEVELOPMENT (CLIENT): Started with plain HTML/CSS and learned CSS3 when it was more widely available, On the scripting side, use PrototypeJS for years, but switched to jQuery later. Currently all our developments use Bootstrap 3 for layout.
  • DESKTOP DEVELOPTMENT: Started with Delphi cresting desktop applications. I even create a multimedia CD application with video and pictures on 1998. I later create several desktop applications, for my work and for personal distribution. I used for one specific project Visual Basic. And on 2005 switched to C#/WinForms for desktop development. My applications are distributed by my website http://aktive.com.ar
  • MOBILE DEVELOPMENT: on 2002, I work on the development of a restaurant guide on Spanish for Palm devices using and Visual Basic Add-on called AppForge. Later, I learned some Java to write some Android Applications. Later tried Cordova/PhoneGap and Lungo. Lately learned NativeScript, FuseJS, and Xamarin, wich are my three favorite platforms. Currently I have two app published built on Fuse and another on development, but not yet decided the Framework to use, because want to have Windows 10 Support.
  • DATABASE DEVELOPMENT: I use on all my web developments (and some desktops developments too) SQL Server (from 7 to 2012). On 2010 started using MySQL and SQLite. I work learn how to optimize and know the pros and cons of each platform. Currently I’m developing a personal application using a NoSQL database (DocumentDB using MongoDB layer)
  • RESEARCH: When I must choose technologies, or create new services, I do an extensive research to find pros and cons of technologies, benchmark ideas through competitors, and find out what is more convenient. I also try to be up to date on development related news, to know what is available, what’s new and what’s trendy.
  • COLABORATION: On team work, I always try to bring help, new ideas, new products, etc. Also, love to share thoughts on technology and products. I’m a slightly introvert, but sharing help me to create slid bonds with my coworkers.
