Ivan is a software developer and system integration specialist based in Croatia with about 10 years of experience in software development including 2 years of Salesforce, gained in a Croatian near-shore office of a British Salesforce consultancy CloudSense.   • Solution Architect on several projects implemented inside of Salesforce for the need of a CloudCraze implementation (Project management module, Shipping calculator, etc), including several integrations to SAP and S4 HANA (SOAP, REST)
  • My responsibilities would include meeting with the client, taking over the requirements, designing a solution and collaborate with other developers on the implementation. The shipment calculator was a huge implementation which I designed and implemented the Blueprint according to SOLID principles. The Calculator performs the following tasks, for any given Shopping Cart
  1. Check the Warehouse and Production capacity for a given date (SAP-S4Hana)
  2. Simulate the cart’s products being packaged, packed optimally onto pallets, pallets simulated being packaged into trucks and container
  3. Calculate the shipping costs for worldwide shipping
  • I was coordinating a team of developers and perform code reviews to be able to deliver a highly customizable product of a high-quality level

  • The project was surrounded by an Org-Split, and data needed to be migrated from one Org to another. The 50+ objects needed to be migrated and synced constantly, so that people could gradually start switching environments. Migrating the attachments and other special objects was certainly a challenge, but I managed to end the project sucessfully.

The company started working on the biggest project since founded and was seriously undermanned. After a suggestion of a friend I decided to join CloudSense. At this point of time I had no experience with Salesforce, but they needed technical personnel for integration purposes. Throughout the time I would learn Salesforce principles, administration, Apex development, SOQL as well as design and implement some projects. During this time I have been using several tools and platforms for various purposes like continuous integration (Jenkins), project management (Jira, Trello), communication (WebEx, Skype, Slack …), development (Eclipse, Welkin suite), ETL (Talend, Informatica)
