Hiscox project is to design the upgrade target architecture, design the process to upgrade and
move service packages to the new target architecture, and then implement the changes. As part of the
upgrade it was determined that a rationalization of the infrastructure and architecture requirements
was needed. Additionally, a request to consider moving the application to the cloud was made by the
IT leadership in the US.

Elm is owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), the investment arm of the Saudi Ministry of
Finance. Elm offers modern e-solutions that ensure quality and prompt services. Elm is embarking on
a transformational journey to design and implement a service delivery platform (SDP) that would
provide more integrated, effective, agile, scalable and reliable services. Al-Elm Service Delivery

customer ordering for John Lewis.
* Provide stock visibility across all channels including the capability for branches and contact

WebMethods is the EAI system for SEL - ISA. All interactions between the various systems in ISA,
between ISA & third-party systems and ISA & JP systems are managed using WM. SEL currently uses WM
v7.1.2. This version is "out of support" and requires SEL to pay additional fees to the vendor for
extended support. The application is also hosted on dedicated Solaris servers. The Objective of this
project is to realize cost savings for the platform through:
Avoiding extended support costs.
* Move to OS from dedicated Solaris boxes to RHEL, shared Intel/ VMware environment to
reduce hosting costs
* Move the application to wM 9.x (The current version at the time of upgrade). This will
help reduce maintenance costs.
* The re-platform phase of the project is considered to be a purely technical upgrade and
no code development has been planned for this phase.
