Project history

10/2021 - 10/2021
Senior Functional safety engineer
KPIT Technologies; TCS-CMC Limited, R&D centre

Project: Process Harmonization
Location: KPIT Technologies Bangalore
Role: Senior Functional safety engineer
Client: Veoneer

Study existing Veoneer process documents and develop Process maps with reference to
standards(ISO-26262). Harmonized Veoneer process documents, Customization of Training material for
Functional safety work products.
Responsibilities:
* Creating check lists, Process maps, Preparation of training modules, Harmonizing technical
safety requirements, various activities in part s4,5,6,8 as per customer requirements.
* Interacting with Client to understand the requirement, define the work process and Schedule.
Project: D-FMEA for SCAM 4.7 FORD, Chrysler, SCB2 etc.
Location: TCS-CMC Limited, R&D centre, Hyderabad
Role: Team Member
Client: TRW Automotive

Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is methodology for analyzing potential reliability
problems early in the development cycle where it is easier to take actions to overcome these issues,
thereby enhancing reliability through design. FMEA is used to identify potential failure modes,
determine their effect on the operation of the product, and identify actions to mitigate the
failures. Providing the Severity, Occurrence & Detection ratings to corresponding failures and
thereby Calculation of Risk Priority Number (RPN).

Responsibilities:
* Interacting with Client to understand the requirement, define the work process and Schedule
* Thorough study, understanding of the circuits and their functionality
* Understanding the functionality, potential failure mode, potential effect, potential causes of
such failures and corresponding system level effect for each circuit module of Vehicle
Stability Control system
* Providing Occurrence, Detection, Severity ratings and calculating RPN (Risk Priority Number)
and generation of Outputs in various formats
* Suggesting client design modification to mitigate the RPN.
Platform:
* APIS IQ-RM Tool.

10/2021 - 10/2021
Team Member
TCS-CMC Limited, R&D centre

Project: Worst Case Circuit ADAS Camera modules
Location: TCS-CMC Limited, R&D centre, Hyderabad
Role: Team Member
Client: TRW Automotive

This task involves validating the design by analyzing the behavior of various circuits in the
complete schematic of ADAS ECU .

The circuit analysis is done for worst case operating conditions. The whole analysis is done with
the help of MathCAD (a tool for mathematical analysis) and Multisim. This analysis document serves
the purpose of checking the operation of a particular circuit in worst case environmental conditions
and suggests the change in design if any, thus ensuring complete reliability

The complete analysis document of a given circuit contains Thermal Analysis, Power Analysis, Current
capability and Frequency Analysis. In the later stage specification document is written for the
analyzed circuit which gives the complete information about the operating condition of the circuit
in worst cases.

Responsibilities:
* Understanding of the Functional Circuit
* Drawing of schematic
* Calculating worst case circuit parameters for entire operating temperature range of
ECU from - 40 deg C to 125 deg C.
* Preparation of Requirements Vs Capability tables
* Documentation of all the calculations

Platform:
* MathCAD,SIMetrix

10/2021 - 10/2021
Team Member
CMC Limited, R&D centre

Project: Reliability Analysis for Braking Electrical Circuits based on Functional Safety ISO26262
for different modules SCAM4.7 TRICAM 4.6 CAM 4.8 Safety Domain Controllers
Location: CMC Limited, R&D centre, Hyderabad
Role: Team Member
Client: TRW Automotive

Reliability is defined as the probability that a device will perform its required function under
stated conditions for a specific period of time.

The object of this project is to calculate the FIT and MTBF of various components. FIT is the total
number of failures of the module in billion hours. This is the unit for expressing the expected
failure rate of semiconductors and other electronic devices.

Mean time between failures (MTBF) is the predicted elapsed time between inherent failures of a
system during its operation. MTBF can be calculated as the arithmetic mean (average) time between failures
of a system.

Responsibilities:
* Decomposition of system into various sub modules.
* Calculation rated, operated stress parameters and basic FIT for components.
Platform:
* MS Excel 2003, ITEM Tool.
