GPW Middleware: The GPW Integration Middleware stream deals only with the repointing of
integrations and accommodating changes to existing integrations and persisted data. The overarching
principle of this project is that all integrations and systems are to remain as-is except for changes
required to accommodate SLO conflict resolution, the merger of the SEL and SEU SAP systems and
FICO process changes. There are two streams - web Methods & Informatica.
* Developed ETL programs using Informatica to implement the business requirements.
* Communicated with business customers to discuss the issues and requirements.
* Created shell scripts to fine tune the ETL flow of the Informatica workflows.
* Created shell scripts to perform tasks to minimize the time in Informatica.
* Production Support has been done to resolve the ongoing issues and troubleshoot the problems.
* Performance tuning was done at the functional level. Used relational SQL wherever possible
to minimize the data transfer over the network.
* Effectively used Informatica parameter files for defining mapping variables, workflow
variables and relational connections.
* Used debugger in identifying bugs in existing mappings by analysing data flow,
evaluating transformations.
* Pre and post session assignment variables were used to pass the variable values from one
session to other.
* Designed workflows with many sessions, used informatica scheduler to schedule jobs.
* Performed unit testing at various levels of the ETL and actively involved in team code reviews.
* Identified problems in existing production data and developed solutions to correct them.
* Provided training and support to new team members.
* Conducted code reviews and provided support to tester during code testing for timely fixes
and resolutions.
