Project history

03/2022 - 05/2023
SAP Java developer on Cloudfoundry platform
SAP GmbH (Internet and Information Technology, 1000-5000 employees)

Consulting software engineer helping with development of an integration between 2 components within a CloudFoundry environment, highly relying on AWS S3 and AWS KMS. The integration required changing an existing CloudFoundry component to make use of an integration with AWS KMS so that a custom encryption will be supported. My role within the team was to support, develop and document the changes.

06/2020 - 05/2022
Software engineer consultant at BASF GmbH
BASF GmbH (1000-5000 employees)

Consulting software engineer helping with development of a Smart Farming software
used across the world. The platform was built on Java with Spring framework stack,
following a microservices paradigm, highly relying on AWS web services for deployment, database systems, etc.

My role within the project was as technical lead on the notification microservices, which included in-app notifications, as well as push notifications, which were sent to more than 100 000 customers once the software reached production.

Took part of all architectural and design meetings and had the main role as a developer for the microservices involved within the notification flows. When I joined the project and was assigned to this area, there was a basic notification system for the web app. The end solution supported aggregated notifications that were sent at a specific interval per notification type, at a specific time frame, having all the aspects in mind, from localisation of each notification (relying on lokalise.com) to quietly delivery in a format that is not overflowing the customer.
