I was tasked with helping the organization adopt Scrum as their agile method of choice. 

We started with the IT department, and eventually, it spread across the organization.

My role at first was to train employees in Agile Scrum at an awareness level, Scrum Masters, and Product Owner.

I later became the Coach for the Agile Lead, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners.

Project delivery times have decreased by four times, and ROI has improved in excess of 300% in less than a year.

EXIN (Public service, 50-250 employees)

I was tasked to write the new official handbook that is now used by everyone who certifies as an Agile Scrum Master or Agile Scrum Product owner. Subsequently, EXIN has asked me also to become the chief examiner for this portfolio.

Continual Improvement Consultant - IT processes and practices
WBHO (>10.000 employees)

We improved IT practice alignment with best practices based on previous years' audit results. 
The brief was that the customer didn't want to burden operational resources with compliance activities because of resource availability.
We identified thirteen processes to improve;

The approach evaluated how people usually worked to ensure that additional compliance activities are made part of standard work (workflows and procedures) and ensure compliance with audit requirements without additional (non-operational) activities.

When we completed the project, the fulfillment of audit requirements as part of everyday work and workflows 94% of the time, IT resources could demonstrate audit requirements using system records rather than stand-alone documentation not part of normal operational activities. The consequence is compliance with best practices is high and easy to demonstrate and prove.

The result was NO SHELFWARE - only real value delivery.

ISO 27001 Certification Lead
Vodacom (Vodaphone Africa) (>10.000 employees)

Vodacom needed certification for data centers and cloud services. Time constraints complicated certification.

My role was to coach the Lead Implementers to ensure compliance and collection of audit evidence.

We received a clean audit (something that the BSI auditor said was exceptionally rare) within 14 months of start of project and consequently ISO/IEC27001 certification

Many past projects were not as a full-time resource but for a few hours or days a week, or even activity-based work where I would re-engage once dependant workstreams are ready for engagement.

I travel and work globally but have found since 2019 that being on-site is often not a requirement. In fact, most recent projects were remote/virtual engagements, and some had check-in slots when key decisions needed to be made or when group interaction was essential for successful outcomes.
