During my last project, I was contracted by Siemens as a Senior Project Manager. I was directly responsible for a central team of 30 team members. Furthermore, another 100 team members were seated in Manila and 30 team members in Istanbul, of which I had an indirect responsibility for. In the course of the CHESS IT Program (Siemens IT Solutions & Services Carve-Out) I was charged with creating an ITSM Support Solution to support all the Carve-Out projects. It was my Task to provide end user support for 36.000 ex-Siemens workers in 40 countries around the world during the client and infrastructure migrations. To accomplish this, I created two Global Production Centers (GPCs) in a “Follow the Sun” model. I was solely responsible for all topics regarding resources and financial decisions. Aside from the construction and daily business of the global service delivery structure, I had on the executive side a direct contact with all country and cluster CIOs as well as HQ management; furthermore I played a quality insurance role by continually keeping a progress check and communication with each of the 14 infrastructure project leads.
