Skills

I have work experience of 15 years and 11+ years as technical director that includes technical team
and project management that involves Software development Projects and in-house Software
Products and Services Management on Mobile technologies, Web technologies and Client Server
applications. I am always involved in the projects that demanded high level of technology knowhow.
As a technical director I have developed Phone Backup solution (www.bump.ac) which is Sync
ML protocol based Server application and also mobile phone clients on various mobile phone
technology / OS. I have also developed a mobile phone IM Client on J2ME which is based on XMPP
Protocol.
Earlier I was involved in designing GPS device (hardware project) where we used Siemens GSM
module XT-55 and Sirf GPS chipset. We programmed and integrated both these modules with our
interface that was using ARM chipset. I developed GIS software for Town Planning, web application
for Fleet Management using ESRI Arc Map and asp.net platform. I have also developed various
security applications on Visual Basic, c# and Java platforms that use Biometrics and Smart Card
reader as input devices.

Project history

BUMP: (www.bump.ac) A mobile phone content backup, restore and share service.
The software is developed to be used on various models like SaaS (Software as a Service),
Corporate Licensing, White labeling for Networks and Partner VAS companies. The software is
developed based on OMA’s SyncML protocol for PIM. I have designed One Dot’s proprietary
protocol for binary file transfer via mobile netowrk’s private gateways. The designed protocol is
implemented on various platforms like Java J2ME, Symbian OS, Palm OS, Windows
Mobile, Blackberry and SyncML handset’s in-built synchronization client. This covers
most of the smart phones available in the market place.

Vigilance Pro (Guardian Against Data Loss): Application for Blackberry devices to track lost
device and for content filtering.
A lexicon of keywords and patterns will be downloaded to mobile device which will then scan
emails, text messages, browser content, instant messenger etc (incoming and outgoing). If a
content match is discovered a notification will be sent to a designated Server.

LocTec – Online Assets (Vehicle) Tracking Solution
Hardware: Developed LocTec AVL Unit a GPS device for vehicle tracking that used Sirf GPS
Chipset and Siemens XT 55 GSM Module.
Software Development: LocTec Vehicle tracking website for remotely tracking assets real time.

Bluetooth Marketing: Proximity marketing; A localized wireless distribution of advertising
content. We Developed Bluetooth Marketing Application on Java for Linux Platform keeping this
concept in mind. The project was developed for a UK based content distribution company and a
VAS partner of Vodafone.
Bunch of magic box (Bluetooth beaming box) were networked via Vodafone Static SIM data
cards to control from a website interface and application was designed to deliver content to the
Bluetooth enabled devices. Control panel was deployed online for sponsors to manage
campaigns and generate reports.
