Skills

I hold a First Class Honors Degree in Internet Technology and have experience developing websites, games, databases and applications. I am originally from Britain, but I now have permanent residence in Denmark.

I developed a passion for social media and CMS in 2007 when I started working with and creating content for WordPress. In 2012 I fell in love with Drupal and I\'m always looking for more opportunity to work with it. I have been developing websites for nearly 14 years now, both in the workplace and in personal projects. I have created and maintained large scale projects through the entire lifecycle, often on my own shoulders, including relaunching sites. I have developed with HTML & SQL for almost 14 years, with PHP for about 12 years and MySQL for around a decade. I also have experience working with SQL Server for 8 years, VB/.NET and ASP for 5 years as well as Javascript and CSS on and off. I’m also familiar with Drupal, Squarespace 6 and I like to review CMS’s.

I have a broad range of development experience that I can draw on and I learn quickly on the job.I enjoy a challenge, learning new things and keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies. I am used to prioritising my workload and juggling demands.

Wherever I’ve worked I have always tried to provide processes to ensure and improve the quality of the systems I have worked with. In previous positions I have supported a wide range of users from admin staff to professors and large client accounts. So I am used to communicating technical information on different levels.

I have a good command of the English language, however I am also used to handling web copy in Danish.I am currently educated up to Module 2 Danish, although my reading is ahead of this level. I am a keen technical documenter who has often been in charge of maintaining large development knowledge-bases throughout my IT career.

Local Availability

Only available in these countries: Denmark
Available for freelance/part time/full time work but I have some other commitments scheduled. I write freelance for one client and I have 1 small web project that I will be starting in April with no fixed deadline. There maybe another one or two projects that should be confirmed either way soon. Therefore it is probably best to arrange new work on a case by case basis depending on availability in my calendar.
