Back-end Support for WFI Service Mode Programme.
Management of all the incoming WFI data and associated information (e.g. night logs, archive databases). This included inserting the DVDs as they arrived in Garching in the archive jukeboxes, checking the data integrity against the archive database, updating the database, if necessary, and archiving the night logs. Further operations were the production of the service mode data packages for the users. This entailed, among other things, associating the calibration data to science data, sorting the science data by programs, keeping track of the completion status of programs and preparing the data for the shipment to the users.
Cutting the DVDs that went to the users. Dealing with all early release requests and archive requests for WFI data. Mantaining the WFI archive database. Dealing with any special situations arising from the observations (e.g. non-template observations, broken templates, etc.).
