Project history

(Self-Employed)
Freelance Graphic/Web/3D Designer
01.1999 - today
I am a freelance graphic, web, 3D, and flash designer. Recent projects have included web banners for the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Rapids, and Colorado Mammoth sports teams, websites for "Rocky" (Colorado Avalanche mascot), The Career Agent (career coaching business,) Wine Storage of Denver (local wine storage facility,) and Moon Dreams Cottage (a vacation rental in Arkansas.) I have also just finished some brand identity projects, creating both logo and business cards for several individuals and companies. Currently, I am working on a website for a business in the healthcare management field and also creating a website for a lawfirm.

Artist Development Representative/Digital & Mobile Account Manager
EMI Music Marketing
09.1999 - 09.2008
Responsible for all marketing initiatives for artists and bands contracted to labels within the EMI Music family. This included, but not limited to, such labels as Capitol, Virgin, Blue Note, Astralwerks, Capitol Nashville, and Caroline Records. My territory included Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Utah. Not only was I responsible for the marketing to the brick-n-mortar location (including indie and box) I was also responsible for the creation and development of social media marketing initiatives. I loved Incorporating instore promotions with mobile, digital, and/or social media marketing opportunities to further gain exposure for our artists.

Additionally, I was the account manager for a very large mobile company which handled all aspects of mobile ringtone and wallpaper sales. In addition to coming up with marketing campaigns for our artists, I was also responsible for making sure all content, promotional or otherwise, was delivered and uploaded accordingly and all exclusive and promotional ringtones and wallpapers had label approval and proper licensing and clearance prior to program launch.

One of my largest responsibilities was setting up blow-in cards and shortcodes for all major physical releases from EMI. In addition to the creation of the codes I was responsible for marketing the codes within all attainable media avenues, including, television and press.

In addition to the physical and mobile marketing responsibilities I also had a very prominent digital account that catered to the electronic/dance/DJ scene. I worked mainly to help secure remix contests and positioning. This also includes working with reporting, licensing, artist management, and stem content creation specifically for the contests.

Twist & Shout (Indie Record Retail)
Customer Service Representative (DJ room)
01.1999 - 09.1999
Twist & Shout is one of the largest independent music retail stores in the US. I was hired by Twist & Shout to work in their DJ room, which obviously catered to electronic/dance/rap/hip-hop DJ's. I worked with the DJ's, put out new releases, categorized music, cleaned vinyl, and did general customer service duties.

Dance/Electronic music has always been one of my favorites so this was a great job for me to have as I could listen to everything right as it was being released.

Universal Music Group
College Representative
01.1998 - 09.1999
Handled all marketing in Colorado of music releases for artists and bands contracted to the Universal Music Group (UMG) family. Including, but not limited to, Interscope, Geffen, MCA, Hollywood, Island/Def Jam, and Verve. Marketing was focused towards colleges and lifestyle accounts in and around the Denver Metropolitan area.

Nobody in Paticular Presents (NIPP)
Runner & Stage Hand
08.1994 - 08.1999
NIPP was contracted to a few smaller venues within the Denver Metropolitan Area to cover all of the music concerts, festivals, and tours that came through the market. They were responsible for all aspects of shows from production management, to load in/out, to taking care of the artists and their needs. Some of the venues NIPP covered were: Red Rocks Amphitheater, Ogden Theater, Bluebird Theater, and the Paramount Theater. I worked for NIPP primarily as a runner. However, because these venues were mostly smaller there were times when I was brought in with one or two others just to work as a stage hand.

TTS Event Producers Worldwide
Runner & Stage Hand
05.1994 - 08.1999
TTS was contracted to most of the major venues within the Denver Metropolitan Area to primarily cover all of the music concerts, festivals, and tours that came through the market. They were responsible for all aspects of shows from production management, to load in/out, to taking care of the artists and their needs. Initially I was hired by TTS as a stage hand, but within a year I was working for them as a full time runner. I did everything that the tour manager needed done. Whether it be locating and renting equipment for Radiohead so that they could play an acoustic performance even after their van was broken into and all of their equipment stolen to tracking down a newly released bottle of wine for Perry Farrell, who is a huge wine connoisseur. Whatever was needed of me I did.

PolyGram
College Representative
01.1996 - 01.1998
Handled all marketing in Colorado and New Mexico for all artists and bands contracted to Polygram Group Distribution (PGD.) Including, but not limited to, Island Records, A&M, Mercury, and Verve.

Tower Records
Lead Artist
10.1995 - 01.1998
Was responsible for all artwork and instore sales for the Denver retail location. Additionally, I was in charge of managing my art team, ordering supplies, and making sure promotions were up in a timely manner. I also worked closely with all of the music labels to setup individual promotions, merchandising opportunities, and product positioning for their artists/bands.
