The Vodafone project Hungary is a turnkey project to supply, in rapid rollout, initially a fixed number of MSC, BSC, and BTS network elements to Vodafone for an 1800/900 GSM network.
I was working on BSC26 and BSC27 areas on the sites from the phases 2B1 and 2B2.
Those BSC areas include highways toward Austria and Slovakia, main roads (10, 15, 81, 82, 83, 84 and 85) as well as town Tatabanya, Gyor, Sopron, Esztergom, Papa, Tata and Mosonmagyarovar.
My duties were planning & optimising of transmission network supporting GSM traffic between cell sites & BSC sites. Designing nominal transmission plan (loop topology is implemented whenever it is possible), site survey, line-of-sight (LoS) analysis, Fresnel zone clearances, link sizing, link power budget and interference calculations. Traffic routing, multiplexing and evolution of the network capacity. Evaluation of equipment and systems to be used, developing the network to meet planned and actual traffic figures at the various stages of the rollout. Updating relevant databases.
