Backup Administrator
- Responsible to keep the production backup environment running free of errors;
- Managing 276,000+ backup jobs, 821 backup policies;
- Netbackup 8.1.1 environment, with replication to secondary site and SAN Robot;
- Check the failed backups every morning;
- Troubleshoot and adjust the policies to avoid the consecutive failures;
- Fix and adjust the client configuration to solve problems;
- Achieve 100% monthly backups executed;
- Use scripts to find around 20 policies wrong configured;
- Reduced the duplication backlog in 95%;
- Reduced from 150+ failed backup jobs per day to around 5;
- Adjusted the policies to duplicate all the backups to the secondary site;
- Consolidate all the monthly backups from four to one weekend;
- Adjust the NDMP policies perform the full backups after 6 months;
- Develop scripts to generate backup evidences for audit purpose;
- Create scripts to check the backup, status code and client read.
- Create a backup capacity plan;
- Adjusted the cluster configuration, now the administration console is accessible from any node.
