Development of a service/product for the Medical Community to search articles and journals. Some of
the key aspects of the project included:

* Design a service/product adapted for marketing and sales departments (Pharmaceuticals
Companies)
* Use the Minitel platform. The Portuguese Government does an agreement with French Government
to make available this French technology
* Develop a Search Engine to allow synchronizing the National Library with Exerpta and to find
and make available, remotely, article abstract on the Minitel screen
* Business evolved in Exerpta royalty with Elsevier in Amsterdam
* Business evolved, including the US National Library (Medline) in order to ingest information
from its data bank through a Satellite link. Complete technical management
The end of Sisbase and the debut the Sisbase/Cegedim was the take over from Sisbase by a French
multinational Cegedim (Management Merge & Acquisition). I had to live almost 2 years in Paris.
Role: Senior Project Manager
The main activities and responsibilities included:\
Link with stockholders
Implementing MES, LIMS, ERP, QMS .
Budget Managing
Clinical Trial experience (for 10 years)
Concept, design, some code (approx 30%), managing test, implementation and monitoring. Integration /
migration data to a mainframe with ORACLE .

affiliates worldwide (including US) all with FDA license (FDA 21 CFR part 11). The Group in Portugal
had 6 more Companies.
Structural redefinition the Pharmaceutical Group and all necessary change for IT Departments (System
Architect).
Modify the Centralized Philosophy by Distributed Philosophy in all organization,
Role: Project Manager
* The main activities and responsibilities included:
* Link with stockholders
* Budget management
* Software Development:
* Concept, development and implementation the software to administrative sections (HR, Sales,
Accounts)
* Link between the boilers sensors (antibiotics fermentation) with the Computer (Firmware and
Assembler languages). Build software to control stocks and distribution (Vehicles Fleets
management)
* Concept development and implementation a Package for marketing and sales with a large data
base to management with Dim's report, Dim's visits and the Doctors movements.

Management IT Structure change activity is implemented successfully,
* A year plan with all technical operation with quarter reports include (Business Plan,
Operations Plan)
* The same for the budgets,
* Control the "Business Plan" versus "Operations Plan",
* Review the progress with the Projects Managers.

Note - A British Institution was in beginning of ITIL show a special interest in "this big task" and
asked details (Service Integration, including Service Desk, Global IT Operations). A project
manager, a chemical engineer and I, did all reports for issues asked. Later on Atral-Cipan received
from this Institution a commendation and from that day, on was open to gives us all means and
details wanted.
I want emphasize all our big work with "Test Analyze". It was giving the first steps and we had the
necessity to generate ourselves the procedure needs (analyzes tools are few). I use a tool made by
Boeing converted for Pharmaceutical using. Now it's necessary a complete review.
