Due to the implementation of the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 on 01 January 2018, a multitude of further optimization possibilities for lean paperless logistics have become apparent. Processes have been automated, master data has moved to the focus, new technologies have been launched and monitoring should continuously support logistics.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Extension of the existing fine specification with additional process improvements regarding usability / operation / error prevention.
     
  • Planning of milestones with the service provider as well as contract management / price negotiation.
     
  • Coordination of hardware preparation / installation (incl. RF handhelds, tablets and Bluetooth scanners).
     
  • Preparation of the project documentation as well as the validation dossier (Computer System Validation).


Process Management

  • Optimization of inventory process: elimination of physical count lists, no manual transfer of paper to ERP system, no archiving of count lists.
     
  • Optimization of stock transfer process: personal computers were exchanged for RF handhelds or tablets, booking is done promptly and on the spot.
     
  • Optimization of material replenishment: Elimination of physical picking lists and the associated administration, booking of all components directly via RF handheld or tablet for the associated production order, error prevention through various system specifications or system validations (including quantity, storage location / storage bin, batch article combination).

The project "Paperless Manufacturing GMP Area - a digital revolution" primarily focused on the production and quality management areas of the company. Challenges in these areas were considered in a differentiated manner using "Agile Project Management" and "Design Thinking", technical innovations were implemented in a structured manner and working methods were adapted to the new environment. The objective was to equip all workstations with the latest technology in order to use the individually created eDHR / MES system with maximum efficiency.
