Database administrator for the EU HANA Enterprise Cloud Technical Operations team tasked with the following:
- Administering Sybase and HANA databases with the underlying Unix, Windows, Linux operating systems;
- SAP Technologies applied: Netweaver, HANA, Solution Manager and Software Update Manager;
- Be in direct contact with multiple client technical and project leads in different industries such as aerospace & defense, pharmaceutical, -automotive, industrial, and education;
- Responsible for providing service and support for SAP Cloud based systems powered by HANA customer landscapes to achieve ambitious service level agreements;
- Responsible for the proper documentation, definition of technical operational concepts and guidelines for the implemented SAP landscapes;
- Create and implement change request documentation;
- Responsible for the daily maintenance of SAP client systems by troubleshooting errors, reviewing logs, and monitoring systems to check if they are running optimally;
- Scheduling and performing pre-activity preparations on systems that need to be upgraded, downgraded, refreshed, partitioned, migrated to new servers or hypervisors, parameter changes, and other tasks;
- Performing system upgrades, assistance with backup and restore, system refreshes, table partitioning, database consistency checks, enabling and disabling replication between primary, secondary, and disaster recovery sites, and installing new licenses on systems.
