A valued contributor and senior member within a small project team forming part of a wider digital
transformation programme to modernise IT services across the Home Office estate. The key deliverable
for our team was the successful implementation of a VMware AirWatch (Workspace ONE) mobile device
management (MDM) solution to replace the legacy Blackberry service and to ensure a successful
transition and handover of the mobile service into a fully supported production environment.
* Configuration, testing, and deployment of iOS devices using Apple DEP/VPP (Apple Business
Manager) and Samsung devices using Android for Work (Android Enterprise).
* To prioritise the rollout of iOS devices replacing over 7000 legacy Blackberry devices.
* Providing L3 support for the Home Office estate comprising over 25,000 mobile devices.
* Administration, configuration and maintenance of the MDM platform and applications running on
Windows Server 2012/2016 servers hosted in AWS Cloud.
* Carrying out platform upgrades and installing new features and infrastructure components.
* P1/P2 and VIP incident management, managing escalations and outages.
* Change and problem management, creating workarounds and carry out root cause analysis.
* Working closely with external vendors (VMware, Vodafone, Apple, Samsung)
* Working closely with internal and external outsourced teams (Computacenter, Fujitsu).
* Using collaboration tools including Zoom, Skype for Business, MS Teams and WebEx.
* Training and mentoring of operations teams to support the MDM solution from L1-3.
* Creating deployment guides, technical and end user knowledge articles for ServiceNow tool.
* Assisting with Exchange Online testing for iOS and Android mobile.
* Leading on project tasks or work packages as agreed with the Project Manager.
