SAP Implementation Advisory for an Automobile major (Sona Steering)
 
It included the review of SAP landscapes for Germany and USA sites at first along with the understanding of business processes related to FI and CO and its mapping on the system and identifying the optimization for the SAP system.
 
 
  1. Carried out a complete BPR for FI & CO processes based on the Business Requirement in discussion with the key stake holders during envisioning sessions.
  2. Designing of the Global Template for all the live sites in Germany, USA and India by identifying the best solutions for the gap identified to map the business processes to SAP.
  3. Identified Critical business operation performed outside/not implemented in the system. Majority of these processes were from Overhead Controlling/Product Costing (activity set up/periodic process & closing)
 
 
 
 
         SAP Advisory- System Optimization & Review – DCCL Cements, Bhutan
 
  This project primarily involved studying the system setup to find out any key set up         configuration missing/incorrect. In addition to this, the transactional data was analysed to find out if key information is being feed in during transactional process. Also, the monthly period end processes were discussed with key users to understand the flow & investigate shortcomings.
At the end of the exercise, the key finding were presented to the Management with recommendations for Optimizing the system potential.

  1. SAP Solution Manager:
 
Developed a ready to use solution (template) with all the business processes   mapped to it, specifically to target Roll-Out Projects. The solution was developed specifically for Pharma Clients. Played a key role in delivering the following as a part of the solution:
 
  • Creating the Business Process Mater List (BPML) in consultation with the Pharma domain experts covering all the critical business aspects.
  • Identified the most relevant SAP FI & CO processes for the Pharma business.
  • Created the end- to- end PFD (Process Flow Diagrams) for the major business processes and replicated it on SAP SOLMAN.
  • Key Member of the solution presentation team to the client.
 
 
  1. Implementation Project (CO Module) for  a Manufacturing Client (Brazil):
 
This project involved the setup of controlling module for the client who already was on SAP and not using SAP CO functionality. Key member of the team to design the setup of business process & configuration on SAP.
 
 
  • One of the 3 members of SAP CO implementation team. Discussed and identified the desired org. structure during requirement gathering sessions to understand the desired management reporting so as to capture the key business processes & KPI’s of the business.
  • Identified the major pain points in discussion with the key business stake holders and with the business process owners.
  • Identified the gaps in the As-Is and To-Be process from controlling point of view during the Business requirement description documentation.
  • Designed the Business blueprint for the final to be process and the Business Process Master List (BPML)
  • Business process mapping into the SAP system for Cost element accounting, cost centre, internal order, Product costing, COPA and Project system modules.
  • Key configurations handled- Allocations & distribution in Cost centre accounting, Internal order ( investment profiles, budgeting &AUC management ), Product Costing- Costing sheet, cost component structure, integration with PP (BOM, Work centre, routing), Cost estimate (with & w/o stricture),Set up of CO-PA structure ( key COPA reports involving interaction with SD &FI module), Configuration of Project system and related process.
  • Creation of Functional Requirement Specification/Test Scripts and testing of the functionalities and process implemented.
 
 
  1. Implementation Project (FI & CO Module) for  a Pharmaceutical Client (Romania):
 
 As a part of this project I was involved in full life cycle implementations from pre-proposal through final implementation and responsible for the successful delivery of the functional and technical components.
             Major task performed during the project were:
 
 
  •  Analysed business requirements (e.g., functional and technical requirements, information need, business processes) by conducting information-gathering sessions with clients, analysing the information and documenting an accurate understanding of their business requirements (BRD( and mapping of those to SAP business processes.
  • Configuration of the SAP FI modules- GL/AR/AP/AA & Bank Accounting, SAP CO modules- Cost Centre Accounting/Cost Element Accounting/Profit Centre Accounting/Internal Orders.
  • Creation of the Functional Requirement Specification/Design Document/Test Scripts as a part of Documentation.
  • Testing of the functionality & business processes of the SAP FI & CO modules.

  1. Upgrade project for a major Manufacturing Client:
 
 The project involved upgrading the SAP system of the client from SAP 4.6 to SAP 6.0. As a part of this project I was involved primarily in the testing of the functionality of SAP FI &CO.  It involved testing of various FI &CO transaction based on impact analysis by a third part tool & documentation of the results.  
 
  • Impact Analysis on the transactions based on Panaya.
  • Identified the various test cases for business scenarios based on the impact.
  • Testing Functionality of SAP FI- GL/AR/AR/AA and C0 modules.

  1. Enhancement Project for a Pharma Client (Support): 
 
Played the role of Offshore SPOC for Asia-Pacific Region for providing support to new business requirements related to Finance and Controlling domain. Currently Offshore SPOC for Europe support Region. Overall ownership and responsibility of the SAP Finance and Co area process design and application configuration for SAP FICO applications.
