Working remoteIf I would have to describe my professional career until now in one, ok...two words, those would be „self-taught”.

I started this IT journey 8 years ago by studying by myself for CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) exam.I managed to get this certification and Forte Siemens Romania hired me as Network Administrator.

Soon enough I wake up myself working with Cisco security appliances (ASA,PIX), CheckPoint firewalls (top of the top security solutions), F5 load balancers.
After that I accepted a Unix Administrator position within the same company, getting certified as Oracle Solaris 10 System Administrator.

After 4 years, Dell Services proposed me to join their crew in a special Unix team, a team that handled and still handles huge Data Center Migrations and Operational Transition/Transformation projects.

There were long busy weekends with go-live and migration events that started on Friday nights and finished on Monday mornings...but what beautiful and interesting adventure there was. I worked with best of the best from Unix areas, Networking areas, Storage areas, Windows areas and so on.
I was fortune enough to specialize on consolidating Data Centers, learning how important are the costs for our customers, and the performance of their servers. I managed to get „Data Center Migration Certified” issued by Dell.  I got specialized in almost any kind of virtualization on Linux and Solaris, tuning systems for various and different needs, consolidating and migrating old flavors Linux and Solaris to new top hardware and the newest version of Linux/Solaris.

Imagine thousands of Unix servers that have to be migrated from one place to another...along with their data, having in mind that we also must consolidate, improve their performance, get them patched.
And this great adventure still continues...

My specialties are: Solaris, Linux, Data Centers Migrations, Data Centers Consolidations, Data Centers Transformations, Linux/Solaris Tuning, CheckPoint, Cisco, F5.
