As a certified (Lead) Business & IT Architect Mendel Koerts has specialized in Digital technologies and Enterprise Applications, like SAP. Mendel works with senior stakeholders to facilitate and prepare for strategic and tactical IT decision making and next, to oversee delivery. Mendel has repeatedly proven his very strong combination of leadership and architectural skills, business process expertise, requirements engineering competences, sound knowledge of SAP functionality, data, mobility, security, integration, and IT governance, in an international context. Mendel’s key strength is in being able to reduce complex matters to the bare essentials, to communicate across the board on any level required, and to see business viability of nascent technologies.
He started his SAP career with EY in 1996 after graduating from both Computing Science and Business Administration. In 2011, he founded ENSEAD Advisory with Gartner Consulting being one of his clients. Recent engagements include (but are not limited to):
•For a Swiss manufacturer, define the global Architecture Vision and consequent Domain Architectures for O2C, R2R, S2P H2R, and MDM, evaluating the latest ERP solution alternatives, including cloud options and SAP S/4HANA. Agile coaching
•As a member of the Enterprise Architecture Board (EAB), evaluate project proposals against EA principles and standards, ensure cross-the-board integrity, and advise on technical and financial risks
•Produce business architecture, outline strategic scenarios for the existing SAP-rich IT estate in a Belgium governmental body and prepare the subsequent roadmap for adopting S/4HANA and Fiori
•Produce systems and infrastructure strategy & roadmap across five countries for a company wanting to rationalize the applications portfolio and create synergy on infrastructure level, prepare and execute RFP-based ERP vendor and SI selection, and produce project brief
•Map level 2 and 3 business processes for a global manufacturer of bio-based ingredients to IT solution alternatives, based on SAP and MS, and produce the IT roadmap
•Producing the sourcing strategy in a major Dutch maritime services provides, evaluating HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC), Amazon Web Services (AWS), MS Azure, and private clouds
