Hi my name is Laura. My website is RetouchMagicByLaura.com. I have honed my eye as well as skill over the last 17 years. I happily discovered digital photoshop retouching in Los Angeles for high school seniors of 29 schools. I was so excited that this new medium turned three hour dye work headshot into 5 min. Needless to say I was the fastest Retoucher they had. I would do the normal requirements of senior high school portraits but they wanted results that defied nature so I blended and manipulated without leaving a trace. These kids had true portraits of themselves without all those hormonal skin plagues and braces.
The “Best Retoucher” is invisible. Originally being a photo-realistic, portrait artist allowed me to slide easily into photography then digital retouching, with a trained eye for proportion, facial lines and rules not to be changed. I worked hard to consistently show seamless results in photoshop-where anything is possible, the sky is the limit, and the visual rules one learns in dye work (no lightening only blend the shadows) to maintain natural faces rarely enforced.
