Project history
1- Data Center Transformation at NBF, Canada.
Goal: To transform operations in three NBF Data Centers in terms of technology and processes used. The project inluded the introduction of Arista and Metamako hardware to support automation using EOS EPI and multiplexing of Venues feeds Metamako platforms to support Corvil monitoing and FPGA processing. The project included also Cisco 3500 platforms to support Hih frequency Trading in Capital markets.
2-Designed & Migrated from fully mesh to a Hub & Spoke VPN topology, Marketwired – Sysomos - Canada
3-Data center Migration,CIBC- CANADIAN IMPERIAL BANK OF COMMERCE - Canada
Goal: To reduce real state costs, consolidation of several company Data Centers into two major ones and introduction of new Cisco platforms (Nexus 2K, 5K, 7K) moving away from the traditional cisco offerings (IOS4500 and 6500 platforms).
4- Migration from IPV4 to IPv6 Project, IDRC-Government of Canada
Working under the General IP Trasformation Program, mandated by the Government of Canada I developed a migration strategy, secured Government approval, created a Road Map and deployed IPv4 to IPv6 Miggration Project.
5- Transformation and migration from Cisco-based infrastructure to ALcatel-Lucent at UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pensylvania, USA).
Participated in the planning and implementation process for a successful migration from UPMC Cisco platforms to Alcatel’s, from staging, configuration, installation, cut-over, testing, commissioning and monitoring.
Managed UPMC Extranet network, monitored WAN links via Netcool, ORION & Ciscoworks, addressed NAT connectivity and availability issues for UPMC Business Partners, including integration of new Partners .
Designed alternative connectivity solutions for UPMC (ex. Wireless to Fiber between Magee & Presby Hospital).
Provided service delivery and service management with focus on the value delivery and governance disciplines.
Coordinated with ISPs/Carriers (Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, Paetec/USLEC) the provisioning and delivery of L2 and L3 solutions for UPMC remote sites and migration to MPLS (CCBH Scranton, CCBH Dubois, CCBH Tobyhanna).
Developed site surveys, walkthroughs, developed RFLs, (Chatham Center/UPMC Health Plan, McKeesport and Altermann Hospitals).
