Project description

? Replacement of the German retail reporting for stores and sales and
distribution with SAP BI and international roll-out to all European
country headquarters

Project activities
? Analysis of requirements and conception of a new reporting with SAP
BI for the replacement of the non-SAP retail reporting solution
? Implementation of relevant data models in SAP BW 7.3 based on
cash desk data from POS DM and SAP data of modules
FI/SD/CO/MM as well as creation of data extraction from POS DM
and SAP Retail
? Realisation of web reports for stores and BEx-Analyzer reports for the
German headquarter including authorisation set up
? Supporting, developing and testing within the upgrade of the system
to SAP BW on Hana to optimise reporting performance
? Holding of country workshops within 10 countries to identify fit/gaps
? Implementation of country specific requirements into the existing SAP
BI reporting template
? Definition and execution of integration tests and user trainings
? Transfer the user support activities to an external service provider
? Key Achievements: Successful implementation of a new reporting
environment for all German stores (approx. 800 stores) and German
headquarter for strategic and operational reporting; Successful rollout
of the German reporting template to 10 European countries;
Large increase of flexibility and faster insights.
? Key Responsibilities: Sub project lead; Management and
coordination of external consultants, Supporting activities of the whole
implementation process and key contact for all stakeholders.

Europe and Asia

Project activities
? Management of the implementation of an integrated planning
application for the areas sales/operations/finance with SAP BI-IP
? Management of the implementation of the reporting application for the
areas sales/operations/finance/controlling with SAP BI
? Creation and holding of user trainings as well as support activities
? Key Achievements: Successful implementation of an integrated
planning and reporting environment for the areas sales, operations
and finance for the European headquarter; Effective lead time
reduction of planning cycles for budgeting and forecasting; Higher
transparency of data due to new reporting environment.
? Key Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for the whole BI system
for Europe and Asia as the only internal SAP BI expert; Management
and coordination of external consultants;
