Profile Description
• As a professional in Electronics field I have played several roles in the manufacturing environment. From specific technical tasks as equipment maintenance planning and execution to conduction of Equipment Development Section, in charge of projects management and supervising electronic and mechanical engineers and technicians responsible of design, assembly and start up of manufacturing and testing equipment of diverse nature, as well as diverse processes’ continuous improvement tasks and responsibilities.
• Developed skills in different areas of manufacturing processes as automated assembly, plastics injection, thick-film technology (clean room), electronic testing and facility maintenance among others.
• Skilled in specifying, selecting and purchasing and commissioning diverse manufacturing equipment as injection molding presses and moulds, thick-film furnaces, surface treatment machines, test equipment, etc. including training and commissioning in several countries as USA, Puerto Rico, Taiwan, Scotland and Ireland.
• As Projects Engineer, developed industrial automation solutions in the in fields of concrete production, medical supplies, food, microprocessors, metalworking, fuel distribution, in both Costa Rica and overseas (USA, China, Malaysia, Philippines, Panamá, Colombia).
• Took part in machinery transfers and lines start up moved from other companies in other countries.
• Performed financial related responsibilities as Capital Investments plan and control, maintenance budget planning and control and coordination of Cost Reduction Program.
• Lead the implementation of maintenance management software (CMMS) in the Maintenance Department.
• Participated actively in implementation, achievement and maintaining of ISO-9000 and QS-9000 registrations.
