Test Analyst - This project scoped requirements from South Hook Gas ( SHG ) to provide an Energy &
Capacity Management System ( ECMS ) based upon DNV GLs' core Product Access Manager ( AM2 ). Test
Scripts were derived from Functional Detailed Specifications ( FDS ) which were 'fine tuned' during
subsequent exploratory tests and liaison with developers. User Interface screens were developed
using Adobe Flex overlaying a Java foundation architecture. SQL Server Management Studio 2008 was

upgrade in tandem with a global migration, a migration of regional pricing solutions onto 'Q'.
Development followed an Agile methodology with daily Scrums, Sprints were governed by Stories,
Issues and Acceptance Scripts maintained within Micorsoft TFS ( Team Foundation Server ). Using a
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 C# .net frontend, SQL Server Management Studio 2008 was used for
database queries and functional requirements were collated in HP Quality Centre for regression
purposes.

system (P142) to incorporate Sandler Stakeholder & the Pensions simplification legislative changes.
Development covered coding (in LINC & LION) and unit testing before handover to system testing
environments. An interim project looked at Document Controls and in particular their reflection of
the pending new infrastructure at CMIG. The main task was to upgrade Systems Documentation to
reflect the transition from Unisys LINC & WFL to NT LION & VB Script. During this contract CMIG
migrated all mainframe systems from a Unisys to NT environment. They initially operated upon a
UNISYS CLEARPATH using DMSII. Software and utilities used included LINC 16.3 , ERGO , LINCLITE , WFL
& OVER'C'. Post migration systems operated within a NT environment running LION 5.1 , utilities used
included RT Query & Microsoft SQL 2000 Query Analyzer.

lifecycle scope was covered on topics such as Money Laundering, Credit Scoring & Commercial Lending.
FSA ( CP186 ) Regulation generated an E-Commerce project aimed at front-ending the UFSS with WEB
pages. This phase utilized Unisys' utilities Component Enabler , Biztalk & Hubbing to communicate
between our front and back office systems. Developement utilized UNISYS EAE, LDA 3R2 and supported a
Clearpath NX4600 machine running LINC 16.3 on a DMSIII database. Other utilities included ERGO ,
LINCLITE , WFL , LDQ , Test Director, ACCESS & Acclaim. Also covered was the inclusion, into a
steering group, to oversee a move to LINC17 / EAD / LDA 3R3 incl. Direct Generate from server to

and development. The Norwich Union phase of the project included writing technical designs, test
scripts and test execution. TestDirector was used to create test plans and to log execution results
and system faults. The testing phase of the Scottish Equitable Unisure project utilized Excel
spreadsheets to create test scripts from functional specifications. Test execution results and
defects were logged in Excel too. SQLplus provided a means of database interrogation and UNIX
commands were used extensively.

their Life & Pensions solution ' UNISURE ', primarily on Proposal Entry modules. Unit test plans and
test scripts were written in Word documents guided by functional design content. Unit test plans
were executed with the aid of LDA III on NT and using RT Query for database interrogation.
System testing utilized SQLplus for database interrogation , faults were logged into CMAS ( a
Unisys tool ). Unix
commands were used extensively. Later stages of this contract moulded into a support function,
delivered on-site,
by aiding UAT and acting as a focal point between Unisys and the end user to coordinate production
faults.

the handling of two new products due for launch. This was a first for NWL in that a third party was
to administer these products and send daily update files. This in turn meant working closely with
CAT teams to produce Test Plans and with Release teams to finalize WFL flows, request database loads
/ unloads / rollbacks and code compilations. Mainframe system testing utilized ERGO for database
interrogation.
