Mission: Designing and implementing the global Data Lake of Wirecard
Starting point was the idea to offer additional analytics and insights to our
customers, so the merchants. The organizational environment was based on
a newly established division. This lead to a range of tasks covering the
definition and implementation of processes; building up of two teams in
Austria, managing the tasks of additional team members in Munich; use case
definition and requirements analysis; elaboration of the system- and data
architecture; implementation of PoC’s.
Due to the Covid crisis and the corporate crisis in the summer, the focus of
the Data Lake and the data analysis shifted to internal processes and KPI’s
due to a “mature” Data Warehouse which could not handle those
requirements.
Technologies: Cloudera, Python, Scala, Streaming Technologies (mainly
Kafka), Elastic Search and much more

Mission: Replacing the legacy reporting stack in CEE by a Data Warehouse
At the beginning, the internal reporting was based on Access + Excel with the
known disadvantages. The first use cases that I implemented focused on the
pain points of the Top-Management and the Sales division. Within some
months, four different Payment Gateways, two CRM systems, two Billing
systems and several Front-End solutions were integrated and delivered
unified data with a 15 minutes delay. I developed also the visualization based
on php, html and Metabase. At the handover, the portal had more than 300
users.

As a student I started at Mobilkom in the role of a tester of the billing system,
where I triggered and implemented the first steps for a test automation.
Afterwards I got the chance to lead the Euro conversion project at Tele.ring
focusing on the billing system and the payment related systems.
At Drei Austria I was working as a technical project manager + developer of
the payment gateway (covering internal and customer payments) additionally
to the Top-Up system and the internal Hub responsible for the rule-based
credit verification system which was connected to external providers. For the
payment gateway data I built up a simple Data Warehouse integrating also
the data from the billing and the CRM system.
