Background
Sapling programme aimed at centralising all the G4S financial support and processing across business units into one UK-
based Financial Shared Service Centre to provide a single point of contact for all G4S functions in the UK and Ireland region
for all their financial operations and queries. The Finance Shared Service Centre for G4S is powered by the SAP CRM Shared
Services framework

Solution:
The Accounting Interaction Centre functionality of the SAP CRM Shared Services framework was used to manage the
workload of the financial shared services team. Interactions were managed via email/phone/post and logged as service
requests and classified based on the nature of the enquiry. SAP CRM Interaction management process along with email
response management system was used to triage the emails and route them to the relevant teams (via Agent Inbox
functionality). The solution also supported the integration of Ariba VIM into SAP CRM and automated creation of service




requests when exceptions were encountered in the supplier invoice processing. ERMS was also used to complete vendor
registrations by integration with Ariba SIM. Service Request resolution was carried out in ECC and the SLA management
functionality in SAP CRM was used to determine adherence to SLA's.

Responsibility:
* As part of application blueprinting, conducted blueprint workshops to gather requirements and produce fit-gap analysis
for solution implementation
* Provided solution leadership and best practice for solution areas and key integration touchpoints to ensure design
integrity. Key integration aspects involved the integration of the overall solution with Ariba P20 procurement & Ariba
SIM for vendor registrations, OpenText for supplier invoice processing, and SAP ECC for order to cash and finance
processes
* Process design for finance shared service centre processes and translation of processes and sub-processes into SAP
functional design. The end-to-end solution piece included classification and managing of Service requests created via
various channels including email, telephony & post
* As delivery lead for SAP finance shared service solution, was responsible for the design, build, test and deployment of
the integrated finance interaction center solution
* Managed a team of functional and technical consultants for solution delivery across all phases of the project
* Supported data migration team with data requirements for CRM Data objects, data quality checks for migrated data
to ensure that the data can be used in the shared service centre at the point of contact from customers.
* Change impact analysis including identification of best approach to handle the change either through solution changes
or process changes considering the monetary benefits and ease of use
* Supported identification, management, and mitigation of project risk and issues in the solution area
