IT Program Manager in Project Cloud File Services - Cloud Transformation
GEA is on its way to consolidate and optimize its current IT infrastructure and
application estate. The decentralized IT infrastructures demands for centralization
with focus on cost optimization and consolidation. The workloads will be usually
migrated to public cloud based on compatibility. The private cloud is mainly used to
accommodate file shares and applications that are not suited for the public cloud
due incompatibility or legal requirements. GEA intends to transform its
decentralized existing IT infrastructure from 350+ locations into a next generation
centralized hybrid cloud environment

* Control and report project financials, progress, resources, and changes within
program (decisions to balance risks, costs, time, and quality)
* Ensure comprehensive monitoring of scope changes and their economic and financial
* Owner of program governance (Security, Data Protection, Transition)
* Regular reporting to L1 & L2 Management
* Definition and implementation of change management measures to accompany the
projects to improve the acceptance of the transformation

Operational tasks in role Multi IT Project Manager:
* Effective execution, coordination, and organization of multiple IT projects

SD-WAN Rollout and Replacement of AVPN (MPLS) lines for 260 locations globally
SD-WAN uses a centralized control function to securely and intelligently direct
traffic across the WAN and directly to trusted SaaS and IaaS providers. This
increases application performance and delivers a high-quality user experience, which
increases business productivity and agility and reduces IT costs.
Changes brought about by digital transformation are pressuring traditional wide area
networks (WANs) because of expanded public-cloud workloads, mobile connectivity, and
the security ramifications of network traffic shifting from secure corporate data
centres to branch offices.
GEA's digital transformation can only happen with a company wide secure and
resilient connection. SD-WAN is the foundation to fully support applications and
services such Azure hosting, Workday, Office 365 or the new SAP system S4/HANA


Introducing one single global Internet Service Provider (Open Systems) as a next
part of the globalWAN project. This will ensure improved local network performance
and stability with higher bandwidth. Additionally, the support effort will be
reduced by central administration

(W)LAN Optimization

This third initiative relates to refresh the LAN/ WAN technology with standardized
and intelligent hardware. This compromises the local on-premise infrastructure at
all GEA sites globally
