Description
GE has GIS Small world products for Power (EO), Telecom (PNI, BM, FTTH) that are the layered on CORE product.RTS is automation of regression test cases available with each product using the automation framework (CTAF) developed by Infotech that helps GE to minimize the effort of the manual testing.
Individual Contribution:
• Analysis of manual test case and converting to automatable test cases
• Designing the Framework for Automation.
• To design the tools which are used for the interaction between the end product and the
Testing tools using C#, and develop scripts in VB for automation.
• Development of re-usable functions using class approach.
• Developed tools in C# for reading a string, Comparing Bitmaps, Expanding Tree views and also developed tools to generate the graphs and reports from QC.
• Development of automation test scripts using framework functions
• Unit testing and peer review of the test scripts.
• Preparation of test data after analyzing of the test cases.
• Development integration test script and testing.
• Scheduling overnight runs from QC.

Smallworld product is mainly used for Utilities like electricity, Telecom, Design Management etc. Electric Office product of Smallworld deals mainly with the electrical network. It’s a desktop application which has features like building a demo Electric network on the Map area in the product
And run the trace to verify the network in that location.
Individual Contribution:
• Execution of Manual Test cases
• Defect Logging.
• Writing Test cases for NPI’s(New Product Implementation)
• Creating User Stories and writing test cases for them
• Defect verification
• Image building of Smallworld Electric Office
• Followed Agile methodology for testing and attended Scrum Calls and helped developers
