Oracle database support for more than 20 databases, using Oracle 12.1.0.2, Real Application Clusters (RAC), standby databases as well as single instance installations.. These databases form the clients' test, development, reference and production systems.
The project consists of a test, development and reference system in Munich. The production system is currently deployed in Iraq (Baghdad).
My duties include installation and administration, performance tuning, and quality assurance of all Oracle databases.

As Linux administrator I'm responsible for planning, implementing and administrating the Linux application servers, email servers (iRedmail), a local Oracle yum repository server and monitoring servers (OMD) in this project.
As a Linux trainer I developed and implemented a training plan for the end customers' system administrators on the reference system in Munich.
I'm the central point of contact for all Oracle an Linux related issues in the project.

Design and implementation for a database migration from single instance to RAC with minimal downtime.

For redundant access to the SAN we used Device Mapper Multipathing (DM Multipathing) and Oracle ASMLib.

Migration of the production system, database size 1.75 TB from single instance to RAC.
The initial migration was done on-site after that the client performed User Acceptance Tests (UAT).
The final migration was done remotely.
Design and implementation of a backup and disaster recovery strategy with RMAN.
