My last employment in IT Auditing was a three months’ contract with Sizwe Ntsaluba VSP as an IT Audit Consultant, which ended on the 30th April, 2009. During that period I performed a follow-up GCR audit up to creating the required report. I was also involved with auditing Conversion Mapping in one national department’s data conversion project. I also did data analysis using the functionality of Excel 2007.

At the moment I am in Queenstown, Eastern Cape; giving my wife some IT assistance in her construction business. I can easily relocate since I have little family responsibilities. At the end of May 2011, I successfully completed an IT Essentials course presented by the Central University of Technology Cisco Regional Academy in Bloemfontein.

In 2007 I registered a company called Bizzah and Associates. Since moving to Queenstown I have, on one occasion, supplied SASSA with some food parcels. I also supplied and delivered office furniture to one of my wife’s projects. I have registered as a supplier mostly with some of government organisations. My company has recently, on two occasions, supplied the local FET college with building hardware consumables.

I have done and completed a three year IT Auditor trainee internship with the Auditor General, which ended in April 2008. Mostly I’ve been assigned to do GCR's in line with the CobiT framework. We were also exposed into tasks such as conducting CIS risk assessment and preparing the resultant reports, preparing planning memoranda of audit projects in accordance to an approved framework, collecting and organizing all correspondence (including emails) relating to each project accordingly up to preparing management reports and covering letters for each audit project.

I have a Higher Diploma in Computer Auditing. My Computer Auditing research report topic was on “Testing as an IT Auditing Tool or Methodology within the SDLC”. I also have years of IT background – from December 1989 – supported by a three year Diploma in Computer Data Processing. I also attended a four day Testing and Quality Assurance course with Testing and Data Services (TDS) in Centurion.

I started my IT career as a Clipper programmer with Sasol in Secunda, in December 1989. In 1997 I moved to Intersolve Health Informatics, a subsidiary company of Arivia.kom in Centurion, as an analyst programmer. Our main task, as a team, was to enhance their software systems according to their clients’ requirements and specifications. Here I was introduced to a database environment, Sybase SQL. Our added responsibilities were to modify and test the database procedures so they could query the databases and as well as interface with the frontend software. We also did some final testing, implementation and support of these systems. At a later stage we were tasked to do implementation and support at the client sites, the main sites being 5 provincial medical depots around the country including hospitals and clinics which were linked to the application. This makes me strong in basic data manipulation, thus being able to learn and use other analysis and reporting tools.

While still with Intersolve I was also involved in a three year pilot project that computerised six Gauteng public hospitals (Chris Hani Baragwanath, Johannesburg General, Natalspruit, Pretoria Academic, Witkoppies, Sebokeng and Carletonville Hospitals). Here I was mainly responsible for the physical implementation and support of software and hardware on all workstations. I was also introduced to network configuration and support. This environment taught me to be versatile and be able to adapt in different work environments.

With the experience I gained from the environments mentioned above, as well as my strong problem solving and analytical skills, I know that I would be a suitable and productive addition to any organisation. I believe that I can interactively utilise the skills obtained from my previous work environments, while gaining exposure provided by different infrastructures, especially those of project, program and business management solutions within any environment.
