“Development and usability evaluation of intraoperative medical device Software”

NET 4.5, WPF, Image Processing Algorithms · The thesis is framed in a research context oriented to the usability of medical devices in the intraoperative context for tumor detection procedures. Within the framework of this thesis, a software for a touchscreen device was developed. Some outstanding aspects of this software are: the acquisition of images in the visible and near infrared spectrum; provide the ability to perform transformations on images in real-time; quantification of regions of interest; the real-time overlap of both spectra. In this context, an evaluation of the usability of the system was performed in an environment simulating an operating room. This evaluation included the participation of physicians as subjects.
