As a member of Global Delivery team, responsible for digitizing distribution side of the supply chain from P&G’s plants to consumers, I was accountable for successful delivery of Distributor ERP-related programs in Asia region. Scope of work included:
o Onsite visit to observe operations, both within P&G and distributors, to identify improvement opportunities
o Prepare Business Case and obtain concurrence from Corporate Lead Teams to initiate programs
o Develop Charter, accountable to acquire necessary funding and final project team
o Collaborate with Core Team to indentify key stakeholders and select appropriate project management methodology. Each regional program has 3-5 projects by country, 10-30 sub-projects by distributor. It is involved 60+ stakeholders and 5 - 50 team members, excluding vendor and distributors’ resources
o Majority of P&G’s IT works are outsourced. Thus, most of my effort, besides communication, is to focus on planning, conducting and controlling procurement for multi-million dollar ERP programs. Key value which I contributed here was to provide expertise in cost-benefit analysis, risk identification and commercial review, thanking to my background in software development, diverse hand-on knowledge from previous ERP implementations, as well as working experiences from both buyer and seller roles in the past

I was responsible for overall IT, from IT projects, procedures to network and communication system, as well as coordinating with external vendors/resources to maintain continuous SOX compliance. Moreover, I designed and successfully implemented business workflows to move the facility in Vietnam from manual discrete to flow manufacturing using QAD. When the acquisition happened, I led the project to integrate Vietnam operations to Given’s SAP system. Key deliverables:
o Business processes design and implementation for each department as well as inter-department and inter-plant for the facility in Vietnam
o QAD functional support, including manufacturing, S&OP, MRP, purchasing, inventory management, product costing, intercompany sales, EDI and finance
o QAD and SAP implementation projects leading, workflow verification, system configuration, master data migration, pilot, training session, and User Acceptance Test
o Business analysis and communication with consultants of all SAP modules (HCM, MM, PP, SD, QM, FI-CO, Product Costing and DMS) to migrate both data and processes from QAD into SAP
o Risk analysis to improve processes to adapt with Given’s practices and standards and to take advantages of SAP
o IT infrastructure, including leased line, network, data center, disaster recovery, communication system, and external resources coordination to maintain continuous SOX compliance
o IT procedures, inventory, purchasing, budget, vendors, contracts, software licenses, Internet access, Active Directory, emails, and helpdesk of the facility
o Vendor assessment for ERP consultants and outsourced services
