Project Description:
* Resolved issues related to Insights project through Service Now ticketing system. Whether it was a
BOBJ related or backend related issue, was always proactively communicating with the team members
(DBAs, ETL team and Business Analysts) to resolve issues as soon as possible. Got involved in month
end and year end activities.
* Got involved in automating the scheduling of reports globally through insights. The insights BO
environment was a 3-node cluster of BO servers in windows server 2008 platform in Production,
whereas Development and Test environments were single node BO platforms.
* Each environment had tomcat as web application server. Insights had around 800 users getting
served.
* Requirement gathering and analyzing the data from the Client, communicating with the Functional
Consultant and End-User to resolve the issues and Roadblocks.
* Developed ETL jobs for data migration from legacy to target system.
* Tested all the BODS ETL Jobs in DEV environment by loading sample data, validated and fixed the
bugs.
* Sophisticated transformations rules are implemented using BODS features like Query, Merge,
validation, Key Generation, and Table Comparison.
* Responsible to develop ETL code and deploy in different environment.
* Responsible to create unit test cases for developed code and run ETL batch in different
environment.
* Provided RCA for production job failures.
* Developing SAC dashboards (Creating models, stories), Digital Boardroom from different data
sources like Hana Views, Universe and spreadsheet provided by the customers.
* Used Upgrade Management Tool to migrate all the contents from the old BOBJ environment to the new
one.

Project Description:

The Kellogg Company, doing business as Kellogg's, is an American multinational food manufacturing
company headquartered in Battle Creek, Michigan, United States. Kellogg's produces cereal and
convenience foods. Kelloggs AMS system is responsible for maintaining the data warehouse platform
including upstream and downstream applications.


Responsibilities:

* Installed, Configured and Administered BusinessObjects products (BO and BODS)
* Involved in CMS Clustering, BO Process Management, load balancing of both BO and BODS
applications, monitoring of system performance and making sure of availability of both applications
24X7
* Involved in Enabling third party authentications like Windows AD, SAP and LDAP in CMC and
implementing SSO (Single Sign On) for each of the authentication type; Setting up SSL for both CMC
and BI Launchpad URLs
* Taking care of daily issues which were raised by the end users like User Login issues, report time
out issues and tomcat issues
* Maintaining patch levels on all critical BO and BODS Servers and taking care of all the BOBJ
version upgrade activities i.e., upgrading from lower version to higher version
* Configuring connections and services for BO and Data services
* Getting involved in Periodic Maintenance Activities i.e., Month end, Quarter and Year end and
Disaster Recovery (DR) activities
* Checking whether all the BOBJ applications are functional after Monthly patching
* Checking regularly the health of BOBJ and BODS servers and the thin clients i.e., checking the
status of Tomcat and SIA from CCM
* Created Users and Groups and setting the rights on them using Central Management Console
(CMC). Scheduled Reports and Publications in CMC on Daily, Monthly, Weekly basis. Checked the
recurrence of schedules in Instance Manager on a daily basis
* Adding, maintaining, and deleting user accounts based on requirement
* Implemented auditing to log number of users accessing BusinessObjects Infoview (BI Launchpad) to
track license usage
* Created and maintained the BusinessObjects security model including security design, performance
analysis and resolution
* Creating/Modifying Security on Reports, Folders, Universes, Connections and Application objects
for different Principals (Users/Groups)
* Moving the BOBJ content across DEV-QA-PROD using Promotion Management

* Upgraded Design Studio and Lumira on Linux and Windows servers. Worked on Tomcat servers and
redeployed war files after any upgrade

* Installed and configured BODS 4.2 on Linux and Windows platform which includes IPS and Data
services
* Worked with Business Managers/Analysts and developers to correlate business logic, requirement
specification and then transform documents to mappings, transformations and detailed design
documents. Specified how to move and transform data between sources and targets by building
dataflows using the BODS Designer. Tasks related to extraction, transformation and loading
were run by placing them in workflows, which contained the job execution definitions
* Worked on Production job monitoring and Root Cause Analysis for failed jobs
* Created BO audit reports by using Audit universe and BODS audit report by logging into
metadata databases for Local repositories

Project Description:
* Upgraded BusinessObjects environments (SBX, DEV, QA and PROD) from BI 4.1 SP9 to BI 4.2 SP5 which
included BO server upgrade for each of the environments' clusters and then upgraded the full client
tools like BO client Tools, set up windows AD authentication, SAP authentication and setting up SSO
(Single Sign On) for each of the authentication types were some of the tasks that I performed during
the upgrade.
* Migrated BODS 4.2 infrastructure in similar environments (SBX, DEV, QA and PROD) from windows
server 2008 to windows server 2016 platform
* Managed user's BO and BODS issues through Service Now ticketing portal.
* Got involved in BO cleanup/automation processes by writing java programs using BO SDK e.g.,
deletion of BO users who did not logon since last six months as well as provided useful audit
reports needed by PMI management using BO Query Builder and audit universe.
* Applied row level and object level securities for different groups and restricted data to the end
users. Mentored end users in working with the BusinessObjects user module and provided technical
expertise.
* Involved in analysis of client requirements documents and preparing Design document for
application specifications.
* Involved in post-production support activities which require minor changes to the existing
objects
* Created Business Objects Reports that had multiple data providers.
