sector. Working with senior management to very tight deadlines, I had responsibility for design of
the company brand including all corporate and creative development. One project encompassed the
creation of an "online help" system and associated documentation.

EMPLOYER Staffordshire University
JOB ROLE
Working with the Adobe product set (CS4/CS5), Tridion and Moodle software to produce high end
interfaces and eLearning solutions for the University's Faculty of Health. This included the
updating of content templates and creating a new look and feel for learning modules which would
facilitate greater user engagement.

EMPLOYER University Hospital of South Manchester (UHSM)
JOB ROLE
Project managed, coordinated and developed e-learning activities for a 5000 plus user base. Skilled
in JavaScript, HTML, Flash Action script, Adobe Director, Photoshop, Firework, Dreamweaver,
Coldfusion, CSS and Sharepoint. Hands-on development of course content with a good understanding of
what the client needs from CD based to Kiosks. As the first e-learning developer I also successfully
created and launched a new e-learning platform.

EMPLOYER IBM (MICHELIN UK)
JOB ROLE
Working hands-on within agreed OLA and SLA (and budgets) to maintain a 1000 plus employer base,
maintaining the highest level of service to all clients and optimizing the use of current software
and hardware. Providing 2nd/3rd level support and training solutions to all supported users both in
the UK and abroad. Working with other teams across the EU to diagnose and fix problems and issues to
allow the smooth running of IT implementation at 2nd/3rd level. This was very much 'thinking on your
feet role' with lots of challenges and the need for research and development. Use of CBT modules, to
remote users, enabling self-learning of IT policy, and self-install of IT equipment.

EMPLOYER YOURDAY UK LTD (ALTON TOWERS)
JOB ROLE
Rebuilding and maintaining a farm of 240 servers across the Alton Towers' site as well as EPOS
System within the retail shop and a network of DVD creation units. Provision of 2nd/3rd line
technical support for all systems, server-side scripting, creation of a ride video footage interface
(GUI) for the retail network. Creation of Shockwave in Adobe Director, allowing video footage to be
displayed on wall TV's when user enters the retail area using RFID. Removal and remodeling of the
till screen software (EPOS) to display user video footage.

EMPLOYER NETMEDIA EDUCATION
JOB ROLE
Led and managed a team of staff providing ICT and Product Support and Training for the LEA's Schools
and Netmedia Education. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of support services providing 2nd
/3rd level product solutions and technical training. Development of a troubleshooting guide, and a
knowledge base system, for both clients and Netmedia staff.

needs of our clients (LEA's schools and colleges) we were able to use telephone and remote desktop
software to discuss and find solutions for our client's issues.

EMPLOYER ITNET
JOB ROLE
Responsible for designing and developing e-learning solutions for current and new software, using
Flash/Adobe Director html JavaScript, Moodle and MS Agents.
Working with local and central government, and business always to tight deadlines, using development
environments to create new solutions for the clients; needs.
Designed a new look and feel for Computer Based Training; User Interface.
Advised on the Computer Based Training strategy for new and existing software.
Supported and administered new users into the CBT environment.

CHALLENGES AND SUCESSES
Challenges
To install software across a 2000 client base that would test their ability to use an application
National Air Traffic Services (NATS) to testing competency before being allowed onto the live
system. Each user's line manager was informed when a test had been completed with the results.
Successes
Working as part of the e-learning team, I was able to successfully install training components,
which deployed modules onto each user's profile. I designed and created the training environment
that tested the client, and then informed the users Manager when they had passed the test at a set
level and before being allowed access to live systems.

EMPLOYER STOKE ON TRENT 6TH FORM COLLEGE
STAFFORDSHIRE UNIVERSITY
JOB ROLE
Responsible for lecturing on units set by OCR to GNVQ, AS and A level students.
Assisted in the development and design of teaching material for the Multimedia unit, designed for
Networking, Communications and Web Technology units.
Tutored level one, and level two students in various IT skills within the field of expertise.
Acted as personal mentor and support to students requiring extra assistance in ICT.
Responsible for providing tuition on web multimedia and advanced multimedia.
Lectured and supported on the various modules in the undergraduate courses.
Worked as part of the interactive systems division tutoring on various applications.
Advised students on how to develop a good design and structure to apply to modules.
Educated students on all aspects of time management and planning.


CHALLENGES AND SUCESSES
The main challenge was to motivate the students to complete their assessments. Success was achieved
by a combination guidance of hard work and humor. Rather than just present students with a
paper-based assignment, I would create a computer model of what was needed, set aims and objectives
whilst supporting students each step of the way.
