Banking Multinational are looking to bring on board an experienced Perl/Python Developer to join the IT Infrastructure team to help provide controlled access to databases through automation tools. The company are looking for a talented developer with experience of working in a fast paced & high pressure Financial Environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced developer from a Financial Services back ground.
Duties of the Role:
- Develop new utilities to automate database and database server provisioning.
- Integrate new software into current database management systems.
- Enhance current configuration management system to incorporate new functionality.
Skills Required:
- Perl or Python Scripting languages.
- Experience with a relational database management system such as SAP (Sybase0 ASE, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2 or SQL.
- Experience of software integration projects.
- A working knowledge of Unix (Linux, SunOS)
- Excellent written and verbal skills (English)
Desirable:
- Degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics.
- Experience working with configuration management systems.
- Knowledge of internal data structures.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory or Kerberos.
- Experience in managing software in a large multi site enterprise.
