Financial Accountant - End Year Reporting & Returns (Big 4)
Rate £300.00 -£400.00 per day max
Location - London
Contarct - 3 months
My client is a blue chip financial services organisation that is looking for a Financial Accountant - End Year Reporting & Returns (Big 4 experience or qualified ). This role is to assist the EMEA tax group on a temporary basis over the US GAAP and IFRS yearend tax reporting process.
Responsibilities of Financial Accountant - End Year Reporting & Returns:
- Preparation of UK tax returns, associated claims including group relief, and any other relevant UK claims or elections
- Assistance with UK corporation tax instalment calculations and tax payment reconciliations
- Producing/review of tax analytics to assist with operation of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) controls
- Review of individual country trial balance for tax effect and recording tax provision
- Performance of current and deferred tax reconciliations for individual companies, branches or country operations
- Assisting with yearend audit queries on taxes
- Involvement in Solvency II working files
- Assisting group tax with withholding tax requirements, including residency certifications
Skills of Financial Accountant - End Year Reporting & Returns:
- Accounting under IFRS and USGAAP
- Local tax regulations, preferably with UK
- Tax accounting concepts and SOX compliance
- Capable to effectively cope with change and competing demands on time
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (written & oral)
