My client, a globally recognised, leading Financial Services organisation has an excellent opportunity for a capable Infrastructure Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis.
Competitive day rate, 6 month contract initially, genuine scope for renewal, Edinburgh based.
Background:
I am looking to speak with high calibre Project Managers/Senior Project Managers with a proven track record of successfully delivering technology focussed Infrastructure projects, within the Financial Services environment.
Key tasks:
- Lead or assure project or programme of work to deliver solutions, to enhance customer capabilities and deliver business efficiencies
- Create clear vision and scope for the project, or Programme Management Office if a delivery assurance role, which is understood by all stakeholders to ensure that deliverables are capable of achieving the customer goals with consideration for the total cost of ownership
- Manage or assure components of larger projects, an individual project, a programme of related projects, or a portfolio of projects/programmes with scale and complexity increasing with experience and proficiency
- Establish and embed systems and mechanisms to control the successful delivery of changes to required performance indicators, including but not limited to time, cost, and quality
- Responsible for building effective partnerships with stakeholders, both directly and indirectly through project resources in order to meet project/programme deliverables
- Develop short, medium and long term outlooks to manage and mitigate risk and issues to ensure customer goals are delivered
- Responsible for delivery through an internal team and any third party suppliers ensuring the right capability is engaged and maintained to ensure delivery and ongoing provision of service for the customer
- Influence and shape delivery strategy and future project workstacks to meet customer requirements
The right candidates will have the following background:
- Financial services background
- Track record of successfully delivering technical infrastructure projects (eg migrations, desktop transformation, etc)
- Strong stakeholder management skills
