Proteus Europe is searching for some Microwave, Radar, Antenna engineers to join our client, the leading creator of Antenna Masts in the market.Our Client :-
Our client is the number one player in the radar and antenna technology market. There is only two other companies who develop and produce radar antenna systems similar to our client in the world. Our client has a reputation for building tough and rugged antenna which is able to last up to 30 years in the cold and extremes of the outside world. One of their specialities is to develop radar antenna to control and ensure safe passage of busy shipping lanes / harbours around the world. They are so accurate and precise they are able to differentiate between large container ships and small pleasure craft and to warn the ships of each other's presence.
Your New role :-
The Microwave Engineer will report to the Operations Manager. You will be working closely with Technical Sales and Mechanical Engineering to achieve optimum solutions for new and existing customers of our client.
The role will involve:-
- initiate innovations and improvements for radar antennas, sensors and microwave components, and develop production models.
- You will help to improve the performance of existing products in terms of reliability, quality and applicability.
- You will develop slotted wave technology and new related technologies.
- You will monitor developments in radar-related technologies.
- represent and position the organisation as a specialist in microwave technology at trade fairs, conferences, universities, etc.
- contribute to registration, development, implementation and reporting in the context of the Research and Development Tax Credit Act.
- Direct temporary projects and programmes.
- You will work closely with universities and specialists.
Your Skills and experience :-
Essential Skills :-
- Radar Antennas
- Microwave technology
- Have good interpersonal skills and be a good team player
- Precision and analytical capacity
- Fluent English speaking skills
Desirable Skills :-
- Any experience with slotted wave technology.
- Any experience with measurement apparatus and development software
- Any knowledge of Dutch would be a bonus.
