Quantity Surveyor (Highways/Traffic) - Heathrow, Middlesex - 6 month contract £400 to £425 per day
Job Summary:
Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience within the traffic industry? My blue chip has a 6 month contract for you if you hold a MRICS or CIOB qualification along with cost qualification experience as a quantity surveyor for either a professional practice, contracting or client organisation within the traffic industry. You will be required to maximise project profitability and assist in correct control of costs and to provide advice and assistance to the project teams on NEC contracting processes
Skills and Experience:
- Putting in place a robust NEC management processes (including for Compensation Events, Early Warning Notices) and contractual quotation and ordering processes
- Providing advice and assistance where required on
- NEC Contracting processes and terminology
- The compilation, submission and negotiation of Compensation Events and Early Warnings
- Applications for Payment Processes
- Contractual quotation and ordering processes
- Working with the project teams to ensure that all changes/additional costs/recoverable time and time extensions are processed correctly.
- Supporting Customer meetings and audits as required
- Assisting the commercial team as required on any project related commercial activities
- Maintaining positive communications at all times with clients and internally within telent
- Carrying out any other duties that are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the Line Manager
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Can think analytically to solve problems
- Has ability to influence others by actions.
- Plans works in advance and takes initiative to sort out issues/problems before they arise
