Horizon Technology Partners has an immediate part-time (partial telecommute) role available for an experienced ADP Data Conversion Analyst/Programmer. Your skills are needed to assist a large CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) company based in Chicago IL 60601, with migrating 3 payroll systems for their North American operations from ADP to their new Global Instance on Ceridian Dayforce. Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in ADP data Structures is expected. Activities will include data analysis, documenting system data structure, data cleansing, and data conversion activities.Please Note: The client will entertain LOCAL candidates for partial Telecommute/Remote (preferred) or Full Telecommute/Remote. It would be preferred to have you on site for meetings at both their Glenview IL and Chicago IL offices and for project kick-off, etc. This role is considered part-time and will take place from April to January. It is anticipated that there will be the equivalent of 75 days (600 work hours) of work.
The conversion schedule is as follows:
1. ADP Data Extracted - Mon days
2. ADP Data Extracted - Mon days
3. ADP Data Extracted - Mon days
4. Generate Final ADP Extract - Mon days
- 25 contingency days => 75 TOTAL
Responsibilities include:
- Analyze business needs / work with the data conversion lead to collect requirements
- Perform and document data mapping between ADP Payroll, Ceridian Dayforce and Workday HCM.
- Development of queries to pull ADP data in the Dayforce and Workday file specifications.
- Document functional and data conversion requirements including data sources and types
- Perform data synchronization, data cleansing, and data testing
- Identify data errors including data and format inconsistencies, missing data, mapping of data conversion for multiple cycles.
- Reconcile converted data and confirm the success of the data conversion progress.
- Identify data that falls out and assist with issue resolution.
- Communicate progress and issues to project team and manager.
Required Skills:
- Prior conversion experience with ADP Enterprise and PCPW (PC/Payroll for Windows) on a large-scale implementation projects
- Strong understanding of ADP Payroll processes, data structures, query and reporting tools
- Solid understanding of basic algorithms and data structures is absolutely essential
- Advanced level of understanding and usage of SQL
- Strong knowledge of VBA and MS Excel
- Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce Payroll data structures and elements is a plus
- Knowledge of Worday HCM data structures and elements is a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills are essential
