English Data Analyst
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experience UK English Data Analyst to transcribe and annotate English Speech based at their prestigious offices in Cambridge.
As a English Data Analyst you will work under the direction of the Language Data Program Manager, and must be capable of delivering high quality data under aggressive time constraints.
Specifically, the Analyst will:
- Work with management on adapting transcription and annotation guidelines.
- Provide hands-on transcription and annotation services.
- Translate established guidelines into daily work practices.
- Work with management on workload scheduling and deliverables.

- Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly analyze data to draw and present conclusions with actionable steps.
- Ability to multitask across several speech domains and work autonomously with minimum direction.
This job requires is a commitment of a minimum of 30 hours per week and up to 40 hours per week.
As a English data analyst you will have the following qualifications.
- Bachelors degree, preferably in a field related to languages or linguistics.
- Excellent English language skills. All candidates must be native/fluent UK English speakers.
- Up-to-date knowledge or awareness of popular culture in the UK.
- Computer literacy.
- Comprehension of a variety of UK English accents.
- Ability to type at least 60 wpm.
- Communication skills and experience working with technical teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous transcription or annotation experience is preferred.
